  • As I move from permit, to provisionals, to license, will the photo keep changing?

I live in DC and I just got my permit where I look like a crackho. Am I stuck with this photo for several years or just until I move onto my next stage in driving?

  • AP World Change Over Time / Compare and Contrast Essays?

    Hello!

My AP World exam is approaching in just a few days and I'm kind of freaking out. I'm getting better and better at the multiple choice and DBQs, but I just realized where my real weaknesses lie are in writing the Change Over Time and Compare and Contrast essays. I just can't do it. I've been concentrating so hard on getting specific events down and people that if the test asks for me to compare the spread of two religions or the status of women at different times, I have a really hard time.

Does anyone have any tips on how I can quickly get this information down that when I'm asked a super broad question like that, I will know exactly how to write a full-on essay about it?

    Thank you all so much

  • How many atoms of Hg (mercury) are found in 500g of Hg2O2?

Could somebody please show me how to do this problem by steps? It's the only one I really don't understand.

    Thank you so much!

  • Finding number of atoms vs. molecules?

Okay, so the other day my teacher gave us this question:

How many atoms of Hg (mercury) are found in 500g of Hg2O2 (the 2s should be in subscripts).

So anyway, I thought that the answer would simply be found by doing this:

    500 g x 1 mol x 6.022(10^23) atoms

    ----------- ------------------------------ = 6.95 x 10^23 atoms

    433.16 g 1 mol

but he told me that that was incorrect because I had only found the number of molecules--not atoms--and that I would have to multiply 6.95 x 10^23 by 2 to get the number of atoms.

    So I have two questions:

    1) When working with a problem like this, how do I know whether I am finding the number of atoms or the number of molecules.

    2) Why exactly do I have to multiply by 2 when I have molecules and am solving towards atoms? Are there 2 atoms in every molecule?

Thank you so much, 10 points for most helpful!

  • Who has the right of way?

Tomorrow I'm taking a knowledge test to acquire my driver's permit and there's one question that keeps stumping me on all the practice quizzes -- if two cars arrive at an uncontrolled, four-way intersection at the same time, how do you determine who has the right of way? All the answers keep saying "the driver to the left," but how do you determine where left is? (I'm sure I'm sounding like a complete idiot right now.) And on this topic, what if four cars arrive at an intersection at the same time? How do you determine which is right?

    Thanks!

  • Help Studying For Biology Test?

My class is taking a benchmark school test tomorrow in Biology. My teacher, who was able to glance at the test, told the class it covers some topics that we haven't been taught yet.

I was able to study for most of the test, but here are two questions I couldn't comprehend:

    - The sodium-potassium pump moves 3 sodium ions into the cell's external environment for ever 2 potassium ions it moves into the cell. This movement requires ATP. This process is known as...?

    - ADP + P + ________ = AT

  • New iPod Touch Model or Price Slash?

My iPod recently broke and I've found myself really interested in buying the iPod Touch. But before I go out and buy one, I'm wondering--since there has been a recent upgrade and price slash of the iPhone, will there be any new models coming out soon of the iPod touch? I don't want to buy one now and kick myself later when a newer and cheaper one comes out. Any estimates on date?
