When a parent dies and they leave everything to their wife who is a step parent to you and your brother, then?
years later she dies without having a will, but years before her death, she put her house, the same one she shared with your dad, in her sons name, but not her husbands children. Do those kids have any right to the estate? This all happened in Michigan. I'm sure laws vary by state.
1 AnswerFamily9 years agoI had a braker trip, and when I tried to reset it, it wouldn't turn on elecricty for that breaker.?
It trips on occasion, but resetting it usually fixes it. My dad came over and tested the breaker to see if there was electricity coming from the breaker and there was. What else could be the problem? It's an old house with aluminum wiring.

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoMy father has a large lump on the back of his head just above his neck. The whole right side of his head and ?
ear hurt. Also, the lump is not quite as hard as a cyst and it has started to form a scab, even though he hasn't tried to drain it. What concerns me is that he hasn't felt well since he discovered the lump a week ago. I'm just wondering what the lump might be. Im assuming it might be something to do with his lymph nodes. I'm asking here because I can't get him to go to the doctor. He is 77 years old.
10 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoHow do you know if you will be getting a 300 or 600 rebate check, besides additional 300 per child?
The government has never made it clear who qualifies for a 300 or 600 dollar rebate check that goes out at the end of this month. I know that I will recieve an additional 300 for my child, just not clear what I will get on myself. I filed income taxes, so no need mention that as a requirement to recieve a rebate check, I already know that.

5 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoWhen you are fired from your job, does your insurance stop immeadiatly or are you covered until next paycheck?
I know that you can opt to continue insurance for several months after your job terminates if you are willing to pay the cobra amount, but I'm talking about what you currently pay on your premiums. Do you have a few days grace period to use your health insurance. If you have a doctors appointment on the 14th, but you get fired on the 11th, can you still keep the appointment and pay your usual copay that you did before you lost your job, which was three days earlier. Please dont answer with , yes, you have the option to continue with coverage at a higher rate, for up to a year. I know that!
5 AnswersInsurance1 decade agoIf you are fired from a job and you have have health insurance, does the coverage immediately stop, or do you?
have coverage until your next paycheck. Insurance is taken out of your paycheck every two weeks, I'm assuming you pay your premiums two weeks a head. So if you get fired, you are paid up until the company's next payday. I know that you get the option to take cobra. I want to know if your health insurance immeadiatly stops the moment you are fired. A friend has a dentist appt on the 14, but was fired on 11th of january, and it was in the middle of a pay period. They live in the state of Arkansas.

4 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoIs it common in small towns to get out of a felony drug possession charge if you pay them enough money?
I have heard from several people that they knew of people that paid the "powers that be" for the felony to just go away. If it is common, how do you approach the right people to make that happen?
