I have a Western Digital My Passport Essential 500Gb (brand new), connected via USB2.0 to my Toshiba Satellite P100.

I have 110Gb of data to copy (I selected the entire c:\ drive). It has been copying for 24 hours now, and it's STILL not done. The only way this could happen is if this was via USB1 (30 hours at 1Mbps), which my computer does not even have. What's going on?? I know the xHD is encrypting, but could it take THAT long?

Say you have laser at power 3mW and 600nm, and laser at 2mW and 800nm, their combined power will not be 5mW but closer to 7mW. Why? need link/reference..

So I'm trying to write my Masters thesis. So far I have the skeleton outline (Intro-Methods-Results-Discussion) and a few chapter titles. And I'm staring at my Introduction section.. and no ideas. How do I start??

I have two mascaras, one is that pink tube by Maybelline (I think) and it "lengthens", the other is a blue tube by some other company that "curls" (actual mascara colours are black). My lengthen mascara dried out and I don't like the brush of the curl one (it clumps), so I use the "lengthen" brush with the "curl" mascara. Question: Is it the brush that really matters, or the ink, or both? The effect I have on the eyes now is way cooler than what it was when I used the proper brush with the proper tube and I want to retain it, but not sure with mascara I should buy... THANKS!

I find they work for maybe a couple hours and then they stop. Cold sweats are the worst. You still smell pretty, but now the armpits are soaked.. have you found an antiperspirant that actually works for the whole day?

What colour is yours? Is it tinted? Year/model/country purchased? How much did it cost you?

The trouble is, I don't know her that well, we're the same age but don't really hang out and only went out a few times. What can I say in my speech?

It is well known that if you work with rats in a lab, you're prone to develop allergies to rats - hence gloves and masks. Why does this happen? What about mice, cats, etc - are rats special, or does this happen just by being in close proximity, in a closed off space, with any animal? Scientific (i.e. immunology) answers only please.
