This question is for real solid Christians that know well The Word & what they believe; not the guys that breeze into church now & then calling themselves Christians.

My family has had a long-standing practice that we don't buy movies that contain irreverent uses of "Jesus" or "Christ" in its dialogue. (Y'know, something happens & a character will say "J-sus Chr!st!" etc.) We had a purge of such movies one year. But recently, I've been having doubts if that is really 'necessary'. I already have a couple DVDs that have that in the dialogue, not knowing that when I bought them. But it does not seem like a terrible thing to own them. Yes, it disgusts me when movies (or anyone) does that, but that is not why I'm watching them. Yes, I wish they would quit it. Yes, it is wrong to use God's name in vain, but I'm not the one doing it. (Although 'Jesus' is a Europeanization/Westernization of the original Hebrew 'Yeshua' & 'Christ' is a Greek translation from the Hebrew "Messiah".)

Keep in mind, I'm talking about movies like Iron Man & Transformers: mostly harmless, not the more hardcore fare like Reservoir Dogs, Big Lebowski & the like. Iron Man & Transformers have one maybe two instances of this, usually subtle but still there.

So I ask, is it wrong to buy, own or watch movies like that & is this something I should firmly live by? I am just over-thinking this? Is it just another form of legalism? OR am I missing a bigger picture entirely? There are the classic "if Jesus was sitting beside you" or "would Jesus like that?" arguments, but again, that's legalism & can be easily taken far out of hand.

Yeah, I've prayed about it & talked to family about it but I don't feel like I've received a definitive answer, just opinions or speculation on what 'I think Jesus would say' (legalism). And that's a big difference from what He ACTUALLY does say. The same criteria could be applied to video games as well.

I believe everything happens for a reason. As a intelligent Christian believing in an Intelligent God & Creator, It would seem illogical for everything to just happen 'randomly.' But I can't find any Scriptural evidence to ultimately back it up (besides the passages in Jeremiah "I have plans for you, plans to prosper you..."). I'm not a Bible scholar, but I'm learning more everyday.

It's common knowledge that Islamic terrorists are taught to hate the U.S., Europe, and Israel. But I read that they are also taught to hate India. Why is that? I heard a Indian-Christian convert say that there is a large Jewish population in India. Is that it? What's the beef with India?

African-Americans got Black History Month. Hispanics got Hispanic Heritage Month. Now we've got Central Pacific Islander/Asian Heritage Month. (rly?) WHEN THE HECK ARE WE GONNA GET A JEWISH HERITAGE MONTH?! If various ethnic groups get memorial months because of persecution and/or discrimination in the past, Jews definitely fit the bill. So far, we got A day. ONE day: Holocaust Memorial Day. Blacks were targeted by the Nazis too! On top of that, where's Native American Heritage Month?! Why has it taken this long to get a Jewish Heritage month? How can I get an official Jewish Heritage month? Do I go to the government? Thanx

FUEL is a new off-road racing game for the PS3, touting 5,000 sq. miles of open, driveable terrain. Sounds to good to be true? Every once in a while, my PS3 will freeze up completely while playing FUEL. Does that happen to anyone else?

I found an old air conditioner by the road. Who knows how old it is or whether it works or not. I wanted to scrap it for the copper piping inside, but I need the coolant to be removed first. Is there release valve or something like that? My grandma says that the coolant can kill you if I came in contact with it. Thanks

I've heard ALOT of stuff about Obama lately, especially since he was elected. So now I'm wondering:

-Could Obama be the Antichrist?

-Could he really screw up America?

-Is he against Israel?

-Did he really refuse to swear in on the Bible?

-Is he Christian or Muslim?

-Does he really not say the pledge of allegiance and/or not cover his heart?
