I was trying to download wordpress and choose a source folder for it. I chose Firefox, since it's an online application, and figured it would be fine. Instead, it made ALL of my desktop shortcuts have Firefox as my default browser. Can you offer step-by-step instructions please?

I've known this girl for almost two years now. She lives five hours away and she is studying to be a nurse. I'm 24, she's 19, and I like her a lot. We talk one the phone or on Skype roughly once a week. She knows I think very highly of her, but I want to tell her how I feel, but I am embarrassed that I am unemployed. Obviously, my first priority in life is finding a job, as I dropped my resume off at three places yesterday. Should I wait until I have a job before I tell her?

Arguments for the stipend:

The Buckeye Five (suspensions are bogus--NCAA is making millions off of these guys and they can't sell personal property earned through their play because it has NCAA markings on it)

Eric LeGrand (Rutgers player who suffered severe neck injury--indicative of the risks young men and women are taking for their schools and the NCAA)

The Catch: It would start with football, but soon other sports, basketball, track, soccer, lacrosse, tennis--any and all NCAA athletes of any sport would want to be paid a stipend, which is why I feel like both schools and the NCAA would be hesitant to pay anyone a stipend.

And your thoughts?

I'm trying to find an important document pertaining to my eligibility for employment. It's not in my files or on any of the flat surfaces in my room where I'd normally leave it. I haven't seen it since the summer, and frankly haven't needed it. Until now. Any ideas?

I'm just undecided about what field to go into! I've tried teaching and freelance writing, but I am not even sure I'm breaking the poverty line this year.

I've been unimpressed with the selection I've found on Amazon.com, but I am teaching a health class for teens in a non-traditional school setting. So far, we have no book, but I am trying to find one that covers issues such as drug abuse, physical fitness, dating and abstinence, diet and nutrition, etc. Bonus if it comes with a teacher's edition.

I'm trying to activate my HP PSC 1315, I've already downloaded the driver, I have the USB plugged in, but the computer isn't recognizing the printer yet.

I'm writing a short story manuscript that will first be sent to Asimov's Science Fiction magazine. I read that any text you wanted in italics should be underlined. However, when it comes to end punctuation, such as commas (in dialogue), periods, colons, and semi-colons, I have not underlined the punctuation. Will this bother editors?

I see so many people on here, guys and girls, who've "given it up" to someone who was either manipulative, loathsome, or ruthless. How does that happen? Why is it so easy to give our most precious gift--ourselves--away to someone who doesn't deserve it for free?

It can be anything you'd consider rude, offensive, immature, insulting, demeaning, ignorant, careless, thoughtless, or even evil, sinister, dangerous, or illegal. How did you respond?

I've had this computer for almost five years, battery is going out, can't run very fast anymore, and am looking to upgrade. I've been a PC user my whole life, but am considering a switch. However, I'm not sold on Windows 7 or on McIntosh.

Basically, I am a school teacher and a writer. I like longevity, durability, security, and efficiency from a computer. Also, user-friendliness is a big plus. Thanks for your input!

I like to make this awesome unfried chicken dish that requires that I dip it in a bag of seasoning, mainly parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano. I also coat the chicken pieces in vegetable oil before I drop them in the bag and shake it all up. Is it all right to store this seasoning after its touched raw chicken? I am currently keeping it in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator.

I suppose that's one of the final frontiers for me, and I'd just like to get some thoughts and ideas about what people think about it. I feel contentedly curious about what it's like to be seriously involved with someone, and would like to hear the insight of others with more experience. Thoughtful answers appreciated!
