I bought 12 chicks from the feed store yesterday but they are unable to deliver some of the chicks I ordered for another 2 weeks. I have raised chicks before but never had them staggered. Should I use two brooder boxes or will it be ok putting 2 week old chicks with brand new ones.

1 AnswerCommuting8 years agoI have a job interview today?
I currently have a job, I just don't like it anymore. We are so understaffed and I am working myself to death doing it. Pay is not to scale and our staffing is not going to get any better soon.
How do you say the reason I am considering leaving my position is that my job stinks without sounding bitter and a jerk.

2 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoLost key to Dodge Intreped?
My son lost the key to his 2003 Dodge Intrepid. As in long gone, he was driving my car and lord knows where he lost it. We called the dodge dealership 1 hour away and they said no prob, bring in VIN and proof of ownership and we can cut you another key. Now they want the vehicle itself towed to the dealership which seems like a ton of horse pucky. Are they jerking our chain?

1 AnswerAmusement Parks8 years agoSon rolled car, transmission fluid in engine?
2003 intrepid. Hit ice and went down embankment, ended up resting on drivers side. Could not get car out of ravine for about 2 hours d/t no tow trucks. Tow truck driver said something about not trying to turn the car over as there could be transmission fluid in the engine, I am thinking carberator? and that it would seize up the engine. Car has significant dent in door but otherwise straight. Opinions? Thanks
7 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agodoes anybody have a recipe for chinese ketchup?
It comes in a little bowl w/ hot mustard with it. Seems to be a main staple in american chinese food restaurants here in oregon anyway. It isnt sweet and sour sauce, i like to dip fried shrimp in it.
2 AnswersEthnic Cuisine9 years agomovie about insane guy who family turns into satan?

1 AnswerMovies9 years agoin a dog wreck, good shock collar?
ok, i know inhumane yada yada.
We rescued a 100 pound sheppard mix from the pound this last spring. He is absolutely impossible on the leash. He knows to sit when I stop but as soon as I take a step he nearly yanks me off my feet. I work w/ him on this almost daily and it takes at least 15 min of this to get him to at least not take me for a total drag.
So this weekend, was walking him on wooded path (thank goodness) and I tripped, this sent him into a panic where he drug me about 10 feet through blackberry and poison oak. I heard my previously broken elbow crack (thank goodness I didnt refracture), I have poison oak all over my arms, and I am pretty much a big old bruise on my legs.
I am 44 years old and he is 2, if this keeps up by the time he goes to dog heaven at 12, I have concern that he will put me in the hospital.
i have tried choke collars, pinch collars, head collars with no success.
I am now at my last resort, to the shock collar, any recommendations on a good one, and if anybody has had any luck w/ leash training w/ a shock collar.
Oh and we live in the wilds of oregon, so getting a trainer would be at least 2-3 hours away.

3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoHave you had 5 good dogs?
My mom always said that if you are lucky you will be blessed with 5 GOOD dogs in your lifetime.
I am 43 and have had many dogs in my lifetime, most of them were good dogs, but only three have been really good dogs. These are the ones that you expect to be waiting for you in the hearafter good dogs. The dogs that you reached a conection with.
The first was the basset that I grew up with, he protected me and loved me even if I was a little rough or picked on him sometimes. He deserved better than me sometimes.
The second was a golden that was my copilot when I learned to drive and spent every night on my bed. He loved me and had a special sense of humor.
The third is my lab peranese mix, she came into my life at a low point and has provided me w/ quiet acceptance and love.
Mom is gone now and I was thinking of her today and the wisdom she gave me.
I would love to hear if you have had 5 good dogs
6 AnswersDogs9 years ago1996 chevy truck wont shift?
It's an automatic. Shifts with absolutely no issues to 1rst and 2nd. No griding clunking or anything that would make you suspect there was a problem. But when you get to about 25, it will absolutely not shift up any further. Transmision fluid pink. Took to local guy, said transmission shot, because something wasnt grounded?
Is it likely that the transmission is toast or is it possible it is some selenoid or something. Any advice would be helpful cause I cant afford $2000 to replace the tranny.

12 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoMiffed about Secret Santa?
My name got stuck into the bowl at work without my knowledge and half of the names were drawn before i even realized that we were going to be doing it this year. They got it going before thanksgiving. I am broke this year, my husband isnt working and just found out the transmission on my truck died. I have lost all interest in giving a co worker a gift when I wont be able to give my spouse one this year. I dont want the people at my job know about our hard times because they gossip fiercly and i just dont want to deal with it. AND we shouldnt pay more then $50, are you kidding??? thats the vent part.
So some inexpensive gifts that you wouldnt mind getting as from your secret santa.
