  • Think I lost my mucus plug, is it still safe to take a bath?

Was trying to search for this with no luck. I know the plug can be lost 1-2 weeks before labour start and it's not a big deal, just trying to find out if I could still take baths (as this really helps my back-ache) please insert link to any info if possible, thanks a lot!

  • Cooking the turkey today, for tomorrows dinner. How do I avoid it being too dry when served?

Unfortunately I have no time to cook the turkey tomorrow so have to do it today... I'm now wondering if I should leave it whole in the fridge over night or carved and leave it covered in the fridge..and also how do I best warm it up to prevent it from being too dry?

I know it won't be the same as if it was cooked the same day but want it to be as good as it can be.

Thanks for advise! And Happy Thanksgiving!

  • My 17 month old son is having nightmares?

Not only does it wake him and me up many times during the night, it is quite heartbreaking as his mother to not be able to "make them go away" I've heard they get into this very sensitive age now where things can seem a bit scary so I understand it is a normal part of them growing up. He is also very scared of "bugs" and and it could be a string or a hair on the pillow. We comfort him and talk to him about how bugs aren't bad and all that but I really just hope this will pass soon. If you experienced this with your child could you share please? How long did this go one? What worked for you?

    Thank you

  • Dry skin and acne in pregnancy?

Anyone else got this when pregnant and did it go away after a while? I usually don't have skin problems and i don't use any make up that would be causing/worsening the problem.

  • Chickenpox in adults?

    Hi!

I just heard there's chickenpox going around.

Me and my 1 year old son has been feeling a bit sick for 2 days, he's had a low temperature and I felt like i had but it kept coming and going. None of us have a sign of rash/spots and he seems to be doing ok while I'm still having headaches and loss of apetite and really tired. it's late night here was gonna call doctor in the morning to see what she recommends. I'm also not sure if I had it or not and too late to call my mother and ask.

I just wanted to ask if anyone here could tell me if it sounds likely this could be chickenpox from their own experience? Most of what I've read online says spots would occur as 1 of the first symptoms.

Again, calling doc in the morning just thought I'd ask here tonight since I've got nothing better to do at the moment.

    Thanks for helpful answerers!

  • Explain American Clothing sizes to a confused European please?

Going to order childrens clothes online and wondering what the sizes are.

    For example 1 item says both sizes 12 m and 1 t

    12 months I get but 1 t isn't that 1 year size?

If it only says size 6 for ex on childrens clothes is that always age 6 y o?

Also youth sizes s m and L what can they be compared to?

If anyone finds a good link that translates American sizes to european that would be very helpful too!

    Have a good day!

  • CNN: "Boy who refused treatment on religious grounds dies" How is this ok.....what if?

ppl would refuse treatments for their kids based on the belief that the three headed dragon Charlie said so? Would that be acceptable? Would they not remove the child from the parents and save the childs life or would they "respect" their faith in a three headed dragon and just let the child die? I'm sorry... I believe in religious freedom BUT when it lets a poor brainwashed 14 year old die because of his belief (HE"S FOURTEEN!!) then something is seriously wrong...

It just makes me so upset to keep seeing these things happening in the name of some imaginary God. When do we say stop!?

And whoever feels offended by this...so be it

  • What's your experience of bullying? Were you bullied? A bully?

Or did you not wan't to get involved out of fear to be bullied?

I was bullied at school for years but I have also taken part in bullying others to "protect myself" a number of times. For me it started in first grade, ugly shoes I think it was and I guess I took on the role as the victim since it continued after changing schools.

I've been thinking about this a lot over the years and been following what's been done about this at schools and then , of course, serious actions taken by kids who were bullied are in the news every now and then.

Thank you for sharing your experience, views, ideas in this matter.

    Have a good day/night

  • Let's just say..a gay couple were getting married and Jesus walked in on their wedding..?

... would he...sit down with them and preach about how wrong this is or would he congratulate them and give them his blessing?

I know I know....this is just a thought I'm not saying it would actually happend, my point is, from what we learn in the Bible about Jesus, wouldn't he see the love between 2 people as a good thing gay or not? I don't believe in God but I believe Jesus was a good man.

Gotto go feed baby so I'll just leave it at that.

    Happy halloween all

  • Atheists would you (did you) get married in Church and have your child baptized?

Because of the "tradition" of doing it? Me and my husband were discussing this since our son is 6 months old and I said I wouldn't mind having him baptized if it would mean something for our families or make an old grandma happy. I was baptised in our (lutheran) church and it was just a traditional thing.

Most ppl get married in Church weather they believe in God or not. We got married in a Chapel in Vegas and we loved it. I don't see anything wrong in doing these things for traditional reasons. A lot of ppl also go to "mid-night mass" at Christmas for traditional reasons.

what do you think about this?

Thanx for sharing and have a good day

  • Prayer works? Then how does God pick who's prayer deserves answering?

I know...God works in mysterious ways (indeed)..etc..but...do you (asking you who believe prayer "works") see how this doesn't make sense to some? (me)

Silly of me to ask I guess but anyway...

  • What religion or branch of a religion would you consider a "cult"?

From personal experiance I'd say Pentecostal Christians can seem a bit, not trying to be rude here, "brainwashed"

I "tried" to be a part of the "Pingstkyrkan" (swedish name for pentecostal church) when younger and even though most ppl were very very nice I got a wierd feeling that I was in Pleasantville (love that movie by the way) and it got to a point where the smiles seemed glued on ppl's faces and it just seemed fake somehow. A woman came up to me "speaking in tounges" saying God told me I was his child and he loved me etc...even though this scared me I did want to believe it since this was a point in my life when I was desperate for friendship and love...but I just couldn't believe it all in the end so I "dropped out"

There were some murders committed by a pastor in a pentecostal church in a small town in Sweden a couple of years ago (see link) and when reading about the crazy stuff going on for years in this peaceful little town it makes me wonder..
