discussing remuneration with co-workers - is it legal to forbid it?
I've just received my contract from my new employer and it contains a clause stating that I may not discuss my remuneration with anyone either inside or outside the company.
I've never come across this before and am not comfortable signing it without looking into it - can they LEGALLY require me to accept this term? I need legal grounds please not personal opinions to help me form an educated opinion. References to British legislation to quote would be greatly appreciated.
1 AnswerLaw & Legal1 decade agoSilver and brass polishing wipes?
My sister lives in South Africa and wants me to send her some cleaning wipes for silver and brass (yes, she leads a sad life!)
Anyway, apparently you get seperate ones for silver and brass and they sound a bit like a baby wipe that you use once and then throw away.
Anyone have any idea what she's talking about and where I can find them in the UK?
They must be disposable not the ones you reuse.
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoWill I get a lease on rental property?
I moved to the UK 2 years ago, have had a full time job since then which pays fairly well. I have a British passport and a bank account here as well.
Because I haven't been here for 3 years I struggle because I don't have a 3 year credit history within the UK.
I now want to move out of the staff accomodation I live in but am worried that my lack of credit history will prevent me from being able to rent my own place, even though I am British and have a full time job.
Anyone have any advice or knowledge on this?

I was diagnosed as having carpal tunnel syndrome at the beginning of the year, but it has become really bad in the last few weeks. I often get numbness in my fingers which doesn't go away very quickly and my right thumb is almost permanently numb.
Is this a progression of the problem or does it simply get a little worse in the winter months?
5 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoHalal dietary restrictions?
In the halal diet, why are vegetarian products with egg not allowed, but vegetarian products with milk allowed?
I've been told that if I put an egg glaze on a vegetarian pie it is not halal - friendly, but will be if I use a milk glaze.
I'm confused!
