headphones not working in laptop?
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L850. Whenever I plug my headphones into the headphone jack only the right one works. I have tried multiple pairs of headphones in the laptop and the same thing occurs. I have tried all pairs of headphones in other devices and both headphones start working again. This is definitely a problem with the laptop.
Every option to balance the output that I can find is balanced. What am I missing? This only started 3 weeks ago and I hadn't changed anything.

List some movies that you think would be improved if everyone died at the end.
4 AnswersMovies8 years agoIs there a point to level 7?
Now that the abilities of a Y!A level 7 account at the same as a level 6 (I realise this change happened quite some time ago), do you think there is much, if any, point to level 7 existing?
Or am I missing something?
3 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoWhat are the best in-ear headphones for $40?
I'm after some new in-ear headphones. I like the ones that have the hook around the ear. I've tried ones for over $150, and they've all had pretty ordinary sound quality, and broken within a couple of months. So now I'm going back down to around $40 so I'm not wasting money.
So what are the best in-ear, hook around headphones for this price range?

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoWhat do you think of Joel Osteens resignation?
Joel Osteen, founder and head preacher of Joel Osteen Ministries has resigned citing “I believe now that the Bible is a fallible, flawed, highly inconsistent history book that has been altered hundreds of times. There is zero evidence the Bible is the holy word of God,”
This has come of course after, he managed to fleece tens of millions out of people; with a current estimated net worth of 50 million dollars.
What do you think of his resignation? And does it give you pause for thought?

6 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoDesktop PC upgrading question?
Is my Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 mainboard (LGA115) compatible with a 3rd gen core i7 processor, or do I have to stick to 2nd gen intel iseries processors? The website says it's compatible with 22nm architecture but I'd really prefer someone confirm it's definitely compatible with 3rd gen before I purchase a CPU upgrade.
3 AnswersDesktops8 years agoPlease help me pick a new TV?
I'm buying a new TV tomorrow as my current one decided to suddenly stop accepting input from the HDMI and VGA ports. To that end, I've narrowed my search down to either the Samsung UA55ES6200MXXY or the UA55ES6700MXXY.
I'm leaning more towards the latter, but I want the opinions of people who have had either/or/both these tvs as to their quality.

2 AnswersOther - Holidays8 years agoMobile phone question?
I have the samsung galaxy S3 model I9300. It is supposed to have 1GB of RAM on board, and indeed when I used to look in task manager it would say X amount of RAM is being used out of 9xxMb RAM. I updated to Jelly Bean on Christmas eve and suddenly that out of number slipped down to 825mb. I assumed this was because Jelly Bean required more RAM to run, and as it was significantly slowing things down I decided to flash back to the 21 August Australian ICS stock release. Build i9300XXBHL which is the build I was running prior to upgrading.
Now I have finished flashing, and restoring my back-up, I looked in at the task manager to see available RAM and it's slipped down to 779mb!!! Seriously, wtf is going on?
Why is this happening?
1 AnswerMobile Phones & Plans8 years agoAfter a recommendation...?
[AUSTRALIAN AVAILABLE ONLY]
I'm looking for a kids tablet for my son and I'm looking for recommendations. Firstly I've seen Meep, Kurio and Tabeo, I'd like to hear from people who have used one of these devices whether they are any good. If you could mention which device and why it was/wasn't a usable product that would be great.
Secondly, are there any other tablets (preferably ICS droid core), designed specifically for children I should be looking at? The device has to be available in Australia as that is were I live, if it's not you're wasting both of our time by suggesting it. So for example the Nabi isn't available here.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

For the purpose of this question eating out will be defined as anywhere you go to purchase food whereby they make it for you. So this will include street vendors, take-away, restaurants, etc.

(a) That after the US elections are finished, the political section of Y!A will be filled with negative comments from whichever "Team" loses for most of the next term.
AND
(b) That is undemocratic
7 AnswersPolitics9 years agoCan a president win favour in this climate?
As an outsider, it seems to me that the political climate in the USA has become very much about what team you vote for and less about the actual policies that are enacted. Given the extreme lack of real choice in candidates, I can kind of understand why people might attempt to hold on to a version of democracy in such a way. But it brings up the question, in such a climate, can you have a president that both sides will like? That is to say, whereby someone won't be posing ad hom against them and citing misinformation...
Is that a possibility and why?
1 AnswerPolitics9 years agoAre there any mature questions?
It seems to me that the politics section mirrors the petty name calling and tit for tat found in US politics. There are very few substantial questions, let alone mature ones. Is this a demonstration in political ignorance (thus a resort to, my team is better than yours mentality) or is it merely a mirror of what is seen on Tv (monkey see, monkey do) ?
