  • What kind of gun should i get?

So I have never shot a gun before. I am moving to downtown kansas city because I wanna be closer to the night life. However, as in most big cities, downtown is a somewhat shady spot. My brother and I were wanting to get a handgun, either a beretta or a glock, and a shotgun, either a charles daly or winchester. We're gonna go get our conceal and carry license and hit the shooting range. What recommendations would you make?

    Serious answers only please

    Thank you

  • I need a "valid" reason to get a full refund on my glasses?

My normal eye doctor was unable to get the frames that I wanted, so I took my prescription to another optometry practice in town. They ordered the frames for me and I did not hear anything from them for about a month. I decide to go in and ask, and their response was that they just received them yesterday and that they were still putting the frames on them. Once, I received the frames, they feel flimsy, they are crooked on my face, and they are very hazy when I look through them. She tried to fix the frames so they fit my face, but it didn't look like she knew what she was doing. As for the lens, she said that she can't do anything about it. I took them to my regular eye doctor and he fixed the frames right away, so that they fit my face. I get the feeling that she may have ordered my frames online and that they may not be authentic because they are really poorly constructed. My brother has the same frames that he bought from lens crafter and they are amazing quality. I have only worn the glasses maybe 4 times because they give me headaches. I want to get a full refund so i can go get them at lens crafter because they seem more reliable, but I don't know what to say to get my money back. I really don't have a "valid" reason. Sorry that this is so long.

BTW, the lady kept my Burberry case and gave me a generic one. When i went in the 2nd time to get them fixed, I asked her about the case because my brother got one and she made up a story and how she "miraculously" had one on her desk. They don't even sell burberry there cuz they specially ordered mine.

  • What would you recommend for a pair of half-rim frames, 1.67 or 1.71 lens?

I found a pair of half-rim frames, the Burberry BE 1012, that i love. The problem is that Rx is very bad, a -7.00 in glasses, so my lens are going to be thick. Since, the frames that i want are half-rims, thick lens are going to stick out. I want to get the thinnest lens possible, but my insurance is not the best. I will have to pay for a lot of it out of my own pocket. So i am debating between the 1.67 and 1.71 lens. I was just curious as to what the differences are between the 2 and which one you would recommend. I am attaching a link to a picture of the frames from lens crafter. I understand if you do not feel comfortable clicking the link, due to virus and etc., I certainly wouldn't. However, if you could search for "Burberry BE 1012" for a picture of it, so that you would have a point of reference for the frames that I am talking about. i would greatly appreciate it. Also, any advice on lens thickness, materials, types, coating, and etc. would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

  • How big of a difference is 1.74 from 1.61 in terms of lenses for glasses?

I am getting a new pair of glasses and I found a pair of half-rim frames that i like. I have pretty bad vision, my contact prescription is -6.50. I know that my lens will be thicker because of my poor vision and they are going to be more visible because they are half-rim frames. I want to get the thinnest lens possible, but my insurance is not the best. I will have to pay for a lot of it out of my own pocket. So i am debating between the 1.74 and 1.61 lens. I was just curious as to what the differences are between the 2 and which one you would recommend.

    Thank you

  • What to take the morning after drinking?

So i read somewhere that there is a certain type of headache medicine that you are not suppose to take the morning after you've been heavily drinking. I was wondering if it is Tylenol, ibuprofen, or Advil. I hear that taking one of those can cause holes in your stomach if it mixes with alcohol.

  • What's the best way to get gum of my north face denali?

Somehow i got green gum on the sleeve of my black north face denali. It's on both the fleece and "slick" part. I really don't want to cut the part of the fleece off where the gum is. Is there any cleaner that i could use that would get it off?

    Thank you

  • What are good sites online or books that will help me coach middle school tennis?

The school where I teach is in dire needs of a tennis coach. I took the job as a favor to the athletic director. I'm the cross-country and wrestling coach and they were the sports I did in high school and college. So as an athlete I know how to help them with conditioning and what it takes to particpate in sports. I only play tennis recreationally and I don't have the first clue about how to plan and coach an entire season! I don't know the first thing about technique. They tell me since it is middle school, I don't have to be technically sound. Please help!!!

  • What is the best area for single bachelors to live in Dallas, TX?

    Hello,

I was born and raised in Kansas. My twin brother and I just recently graduated college and we both want to move to a big city and we thought what better time than now, since there is nothing holding us back. We both like to go out and we're wondering what area of Dallas would be a good area to move to? We were wanting an area close to a thriving night life, at the same time, it being safe where we can walk home if need be. We care more about a safe neighborhood rather than how "nice" the place is. As far as rent is concern, we were wanting to spend anywhere from $800 to $1200 for a 2 bedroom place.

    Thank you.
