Hello! I have a chemistry test tomorrow, and I'm trying to study acids and bases. I'm just confused on one question:

Which oxides below form acids? Which form bases? Write a reaction for the formation of the acids.

a. CuO b. Co2 c. CaO

I just don't understand how you tell if it is an acid or base. I've tried looking in my book but I can't find it. Please help

Hello! So my left knee has been hurting lately. It hurts on the inside of my knee on the right of my kneecap. Everytime I bend my leg it stings, so even just walking hurts. I'm a 16 year old girl and it started 2 days ago after we had a really intense softball practice. We ran ALOT and I'm out of shape so my legs are killing me. But the pain in my knee is really sharp. Hello! So i'm doing something called AMOK- annual melee of kindness. On march 10 we're supposed to do something nice for our community and the people there. I've been trying to think of something nice and easy to do. ANy ideas? There's a shopping area full of people near me and I'm thinking about giving out helium balloons or giving homeless people stuff. I'm going to be doing this with my friend too. I got two pet rats named Milo and Paul about a week ago. They are really cute, but they are always hiding in their little house. When I first got them, I left them alone for 1 whole day to get used to their cage. The next day I started putting my hand in their cage and they started sniffing. The day after I decided to try and hold paul, but while i grabbed paul, Milo escaped from the cage. I spent the next 1 1/2 hour trying to get him out from behind my book shelf. Lets just say i scared the crap out of him. So then I finally got him out, and put them bothin their cage. Now, they both hate me and are scared. D: I really want them to love me. What's the best thing to do now? Should I stop picking them up and just get them used to my hand again? or should I pick them up and force them to get used to me? it confusing. :(

Okay, so today I got two pet rats named Paul and Milo. I brought them home today and put them in their new cage. I know that aspen and pine are bad for rats, so I got them some pellet bedding. However, the bag is in german so i'm not exactly sure what the pellets are made of but i know its not wood. It says its for rats. Since I got them like 6 hours ago, Milo has been sneezing quite a bit, but paul won't stop making noises like a guinea pig and sneezing. I'm worried about them, especially paul. Do you think this could just be because their nervous? Thanks so much :)

Hello! So i have studied korean for 3 years and i just recently moved to germany. My korean is getting fuzzy now and i dont want to forget it so i have been studying. Now that i live in germany, we visit italy alot, and most of my family that lives there only speak italian. I want to teach myself italian now, but can i do that while im teaching myself korean? I have a small backround in both languages, so what would be the best way to learn both? Im american btw so my first language is english. Thanks so much!!

I personally think Michael Phelps is the best olympian of all time. This is because he's broken over 30 world records and has the most gold medals of any person. Also, he's only 2 medals away from being the most decorated Olympian of all time. Lastly, he won 8 gold medals in a row in 2008. I think he's pretty freaking awesome.

I'm still researching this topic, which is why I'm asking this question, maybe if ya'll got some good info.

But anyways, I am completely FOR any 2 people who love each other to be able to be unified and have a happy life and get all the rights that any other 2 people would get together. THe only thing is that "marriage" is a religious term. "Marriage" is "holy matrimony" which is from the christian religion. Because of this backround, I can understand why so many people are against it. Many christians believe marriage is ONLY between a man and a women and being gay is a sin. Therefore, I don't believe it's okay for everyone to try and change what these people believe in. These are the beliefs that Christians and other people have, and it is intolerant to say that you want them to stop their beliefs and allow gay marriage. Now, I believe that if you want to get married you should be able to, but it doesn't have to be religiously. My parents (male and female) had a civil union.This is because they're not religous. They just became unified and got all the normal rights. Alot of people do it this way and they are still considered married, just not religously. Are gay people allowed to do this same thing? Like to get a civil union? Because, if they are allowed to in every state, then I don't really see the problem. BUT if they are still denied the right to have a partner to share their life with, then I can understand that this topic needs LOTS of help. So please give me your opinion and tell me if I'm wrong in any way. (Don't take anything I said in the wrong way, I'm just trying to make sense of this topic :) Thanks so much for answering you guys! I love to watch glee, but sometimes it really bothers me. The main thing that bothers me is how much Finn gets bullied by everyone! I mean he has to put up with so much crap and tolerate and accept everyone and if he ever gets angry he becomes the bad guy! That REALLY bothers me. Also, I feel like the characters get over their problems WAYYY to fast. Or is it really like that in real life? These are just a few things. What do you guys think of glee? Thanks :)
