This car stared acting weird today. It has a Random Misfire code po300, it is a 4 cyliner, I went ahead and replaced the spark plus and the wires. There is still a misfire and now it starts but won't run, will go really slow, then fast, then lose power again, erratic shifting of the transmission, the shifter feels harder than usual and there is smoke coming from underneath the firewall and thru the a/c vents inside the vehicle after driving about 5 minutes.

What is a miracle exactly?

Engine warms up to normal temperature, both radiator hoses upper and lower feel warm. No heater core leaks inside the vehicle, both hoses going in and out from the heater core feel warm but I have no heat, I get outside temperature air with the control knob all the way to max heat. I got access to the blend door actuator and moved it manually and I still get cold air out the vents. Any ideas or suggestions what to check next?

Engine was always cold so I had no heater, replaced thermostat and now the engine warms up but I still have no heat coming out the vents. The blower fan comes on and all speeds work but the temp control knob does not do anything, I move it all the way to the right, ma heat and still got cold air out the vents, also the know to redirect air to the windshield, floor etc does not work, I move it and the air keeps coming out of the same vents.

Manual transmission

Symptoms: It will take long to start, smell of gas, have to keep pushing on the gas pedal to keep it running , it will die when let go off gas pedal and will run very rough @ or below 1400 RPM transmission in neutral foot on gas pedal.

SO far:

1. Replaced fuel filter

2.Cleaned the Idle air control valve

3.Replaced the Engine coolant temperature

4.Swap the MAF from my Ford Escort ( both use the same part) and that has not fixed the problem, so wasn't the MAF either.

At this point I need to look into the camshaft sensor, then injector and then PCM. Any other suggestions or people who have had the same problem any ideas will be appreciated.

This is the first time I collected unemployment in my whole life. I am a US citizen but I was born over seas. I collected unemployment and looked for employment, met and even send more job applications than the Workforce Agency required weekly. I had to travel to the country I was born in for various reason, I also got married overseas during this time. Workforce services are now saying that I committed fraud because I traveled out of the country. I had my email address, phone numbers and everything on the job applications I sent out. I even traveled to another state once for a job interview. I am alleging I had to travel out of the country on personal matters and not vacation or pleasure. Can anyone advise if I have a good case or not?

The vehicle shakes when taking off in 1st gear (Manual transmission) as u release the clutch starts shaking and you can also hear a thumping noise in the rear. At about 55 mph it sounds like a plane taking off. The clutch has been replaced. ANY SUGGESTIONS will be greatly appreciated.
