    riassumendo:

    scheda madre.

Ram - userò win XP quindi ne basta "poca" 1 o 2 GB direi.

    scheda video per photoshop CS3.

scheda audio: indifferente, un criceto musicista sarebbe già troppo.

    scheda ethernet.

    Grazie!!!!

  • AC unit vs. central air?

I have a house with 5 bedrooms and a finished basement. It has central air, which we hardly use. It cools both the finished basement and the main floor. My family is small, so I have been trying to argue that it it better to install an AC unit in the room we use most often to avoid turning on the air to cool down the entire house. Is this a good idea? Will this also lessen the electricity bills?

  • What is a Jack and Jill shower?

A friend from highschool invited me to her Jack and Jill shower. Showers are so uncommon in my culture and I have no clue what this is and what to expect. I mean, I know bridal showers and baby showers but what is a J&J shower? Do you bring a regular wedding shower gift?

Thanks for helping this clueless person out.

  • When did you have your first girls' night out after baby?

My son is 2 years old. Other than going out with family or with my husband for a few hours (we're always home before our son is in bed), I have not gone out late at night with friends yet.

I recently got an invitation to go to a hookah bar Friday but I feel like it's too late at night. 9 pm, LOL That means I won't be home until midnight or later and I'm not comfortable with that just yet. So now I'm going to have a sleepover at my house with my nieces and nephew instead.

Just curious, how old was your child when you finally felt comfortable enough for a late girls' night out with friends?

  • Exercising means more energy, right?

I have to wake up really early to exercise, and I'm finding that hard to do.

I have to wake up an hour and a half earlier in order to exercise for 30 minutes, then prepare breakfast and dinner for my family (I just get coffee for myself), shower, and get ready for work. Sometimes I have a curve ball thrown at me and end up having to bathe my son and entertain him for bit.

I can't work out after work because my son demands my attention. I clean, start dinner, and try to find some time to watch the news. By the time I get some free time because my son has fallen asleep, I'm exhausted and crawl into bed.

I get about 7 hours of sleep. Should I keep up t his routine and expect to get more and more energy over time if I keep up with the daily exercising?

  • Where is all this dust coming from?

I dust my house every other day because it just builds up! I use a microfiber cloth to dust our furniture and windowsills but dust always appears a few hours later. We have dark furniture, so it's quite obvious. Is it because my house is old (built in the 20's). We try to open the windows as much as possible but is there anything else I can do?

  • Using Round Up for the first time?

I have a large area that is full of weeds. It's too much to get down on my hands and knees to dig out so we're trying Round Up. Do I have to spray once and wait for them to die or should I spray daily? How many applications should it take until I see results?

Yeah, I know there are instructions but I'm not home to read the bottle at the moment. Thanks!

  • Why is my toilet leaking all over our floors?

Our laundry room is in the same space as our half bathroom. The washer rests beside the toilet and for some reason, the washer will move and bang about when it washes blankets and sheets. I found the washer right up against the toilet. I guess it has managed to move the toilet a bit because now the toilet is leaking all over the floors! We've turned off the water to the toilet and haven't used it, but how can I fix this? What should I be checking for? Or do I need to call a plumber?

We have also moved the washer further away from the toilet so that it won't be touching it at all.

  • What color should my kitchen be?

We have stainless steel appliances (except for the broken white dishwasher) and light wood cabinets. I can't seem to pick a color that makes sense.

Would it be better to paint the cabinets white and settle on a bright color? To make it more confusing, the floors are cherry wood. Please help. I've attached an image of the kitchen below.

  • Wanting to start up teaching in a new state after a 3 year hiatus?

I graduated from college 3 years ago and was certified in the state of MA to teach grades 6-12. I passed the tests with flying colors but unfortunately, I found another job opportunity that wasn't in the teaching department.

I now live in another state. Do I have to retake all the tests again for this state? I now I have to recertify myself for the new state and pay the requested fees.

I will most likely just do substitute teaching for now for some added experience before jumping into full time teaching.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

  • Is it possible to build up credit without a credit card?

I recently met someone who has told me that they have never had a credit card. That made me wonder...won't that affect them in the future when they try to obtain things where credit is needed --house, certain cell phones, car???

Or can companies look at other things like a person's payment history for rent, bills, etc?

  • What can I make with lots of cilantro?

I made some chicken congee (Asian porridge) this weekend and garnished it with cilantro. The soup is all gone but I have lots of cilantro leftover. What else can I make with it before it goes bad?

  • Pulling up the weeds are leaving huge gaps?

I have a little patch of grassy land around this tree outside my front fence. It's been overcrowded with weeds by the previous owners and I attempted to pull them all up. This has resulted in virtually no grass left around this poor little tree.

What can I do to make the patchy grass area more attractive now? I live in New England so would it be too late to put some grass seeds in this little patch of land?

  • Do you like your electric lawn mower?

I need a nice mower. Are the electric ones any good? I don't really want a gas one. I've noticed that there are corded mowers and also ones with rechargeable batteries. Our lawn and our yard isn't that big so I wouldn't really mind the corded ones, but how do they function in comparison to the gas mowers?

    Any recommendations?

  • Perhaps I was out of line in this situation?

But if you are the mother of one child, with another on the way, and are not receiving financial assistance of any sort from your partner, would you:

rent an apartment that costs $500 a month when you bring home UNDER $700

keep your cable and internet bills active, which costs about $100 a month

insist that your partner cannot find a job because even something as simple as asking to paint someone's house or mow their lawn are services no one needs

refuse to listen to others who are trying to tell you ways you can save money and make changes in your life

and lastly, act childishly and delete them from your friends' list because you are so right and they are so wrong???

  • What is a good curfew for a teenager who used to be rowdy?

I might have a relative coming to live with me. She is a teenager and has had a rather hard life. I have told her that if she were to stay with me, she must abide by my rules, which means finding a job or focusing on education, making those things her main priority. I don't want to deny her "fun time" so what would be a good curfew for her?

She is with me on a trial basis and I have let her know that since I have a 2 y.o. I cannot expose him to any craziness.
