  • Why is the paint still tacky?

I bought a second hand chest of draws and sanded it down then painted it. I painted it outside and we do have a lot of humidity here in Oklahoma, but I brought it in yesterday and the paint is still tacky, why? I painted it 3 days ago. Any tips on what I should do.

  • How to install recess lighting, is it hard?

I would love to add more lighting to my Kitchen and Living Room. It is such a large open area that the ceiling fan light and the small chandelier are not working real well because they themselves are in a recess cutout in the ceiling. So I would like to outline the cutout recess ceiling with recess lighting. How hard would it be to add the new lighting and can a DIY be able to handle the job.

  • How do you remove sub floor that was patched before?

Had an unknown leak for some time, then we had a hose spew water all over the bathroom. So we had to remove the carpet and pad in our bedroom yes it was that bad of a leak. We had notice that our bathroom floor had been getting soft so we decided that this would be the time to go ahead and take care of that as well. We thought that if would just be a sub floor repair. When we got down to the wood we realized that the floor had been repaired or leveled out by just laying more plywood on top of the original floor. So how would you go about removing the top layer of the rotten wood floor.
