How do you remove sub floor that was patched before?

Had an unknown leak for some time, then we had a hose spew water all over the bathroom. So we had to remove the carpet and pad in our bedroom yes it was that bad of a leak. We had notice that our bathroom floor had been getting soft so we decided that this would be the time to go ahead and take care of that as well. We thought that if would just be a sub floor repair. When we got down to the wood we realized that the floor had been repaired or leveled out by just laying more plywood on top of the original floor. So how would you go about removing the top layer of the rotten wood floor.

Use a hammer and a flat bar to get it started. Pry it loose and rip it out. Once you get one piece out, you can attack the next pieces with a larger bar or floor scraper. If the subfloor underneath is still good, you can install a layer of 1/4" luaun underlayment (for vinyl tile) or cement board (for ceramic tile). Hope this helps.

The link that diypro posted, http://www.icanfixupmyhome.com/PlywoodSubfloorRepa...

gives pretty good instructions, just make absolutely sure you have ALL of the damaged / rotten wood removed before you stop, even if you have to continue on into the bedroom or any other adjoining room. Stopping too soon and leaving even a little bad wood in place will insure that you will be back to finish the job sometime in the future.

You've already got the finish floor up so you've got the nasty part out of the way. But you still need to get out everything rotten. This is just prybar, hammer, and other assorted handtools. This link goes into the details of the removal and restoration.
