Scar still "scabby" after three months?
Had a modified mastoidectomy three months+ ago. Incision behind the left ear has been inspected once every two weeks without any problems noticed by the doc, so I guess it's doing fine, but I still have scabby blotches in parts of the scar. Most of the incision is a single red line but the lower and upper parts of the incision curve have scabs that have been there since healing began. Is this normal? Has anyone had similar experiences?
2 AnswersInjuries8 years agoSpecialist has signed me up for surgery but no word from hospital? (Australia)?
Diagnosed with Cholesteatoma left middle ear. We filled out the paperwork during my last appointment and he said after I provided him with a hearing test (already done) I would be put on the waiting list.
I'm going to call him, but does anyone have experience with hospital waiting times? I've never had surgery since I was a child, it's all new to me.
1 AnswerMedicine8 years agoAre animals skinned alive for fur?
There's a video circulating of horrific animal cruelty in China (as I understand it was a few years ago that it originally cropped up), where raccoons, dogs, cats and rabbits are skinned ALIVE for their pelts, which is absolutely sickening and inexcusable. When I started trying to research it I found very little besides that which was said by the people who made the video and other animal welfare organisations. I couldn't find any reliable sources that corroborated this. Articles I read on fur farming mentioned euthanasia by gas was the norm and skinning an animal alive was inefficient because the operator could hurt himself or be bitten or mauled.
IWhat's the verdict? Is it widespread or not? Sources would be appreciated.
4 AnswersCats8 years agoWhat do you think of 9/11 conspiracy theorists?
Personally, I find it absolutely mind-boggling that people in a first world country can cling to such wild and incredible claims. It blows my mind how crazy people can be. So whats your opinion of them? Are you one of them? What do you think of people who think you're nuts?
Cheers
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoSmall wound near dogs eye? Stitches?
Little bugger bumped his head trying to hunt a lizard and has a little gash the length of your thumb nail just under his right eye, over the bone, not dangerously close to the eye. How do I know if he needs stitches? It doesn't seem particularly bad but its certainly not a scratch.
2 AnswersDogs9 years agoAre Olympic arenas built specifically for that olympics, or...?
Are existing structures modified for the event? I guess I find it difficult to believe that whole stadiums and giant galleries are made only for 14 days of sports - if they are built just for the olympics, what happens to them afterwards?
4 AnswersOlympics9 years agoIf God wanted to forgive us, why didn't he just forgive us?
Why send his son to be tortured? If he wanted to bloody forgive us, why couldn't he just forgive us? Pretty simple if ya ask me. I'm thinking God's a mong.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoRe-enlisting, medical problems, need advice?
I'm re-enlisting back into the australian army in 8 weeks...I've seen a specialist recently about an issue I've had with my left ear for a long time (discharge, blood, blockage) and he's determined that it's a Cholesteatoma - a serious ear infection that can become worse with time. The medical section in the army cleared me medically fit and said as long as the condition doesnt affect my hearing it won't be a problem to re-enlist.
Now, the problem is that the longer I leave the cholesteatoma the more complications there could be, BUT if I opt to have surgery now there's a chance I might lose some hearing and not be able to re-enlist at all. The doctor said it's up to me, and that my cyst could remain untreated for several months without serious complications (which means the army can treat it after I finish re-enlistment training). Im like a lost dog here, I have no idea what to do, I dont want to lose my hearing or anything and I need to get back in the army - has anyone had similar experiences?

How do you look for a lie when someone is speaking? Spiritually speaking, of course.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf you were to massacre a school how would you do it?
Would you go from room to room shooting indiscriminately, or wire bombs to go off during roll call, or what? How would you do it?

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy do creationists believe creating life is something special?
Anyone can do it, there's nothing special about creating life - we can do it, we've cloned sheep and we can create humans in a lab just as well. Assuming your mythology has any substance, why give god special praise for doing something that his lowly peon subjects can do just as easily?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAre all people from Liverpool inbred or just some of them?
I think they're all inbred, personally. Spiritually speaking, of course.

When will we get a video game that looks closer to reality and less like a bunch of pixels? When will we see true photorealism?

Spiritually speaking, of course.

I'll ask SUPER NICE if it helps at all. Is there a rent god that I don't know of? God of Abraham was useless, as usual.
