A Question About Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?
My friend is a doctor in University of Indonesia. He conducted a research about sperms in pre-ejaculatory fluid. He tested 10 men (all of which prefer to be anonymous), five of them already masturbated and haven't pee when the fluid sample was taken. The result is: There is no sperm in all those men's pre-ejaculatory fluid, at all.
(And I googled about this, some Israeli scientists also conduct this kind of research too)
So the question is: I read from a lot of blogs said that pre-c um 'might' contains sperms, especially when you masturbate and not yet urinated (because ammonia kills sperms). But the research denied it. So, is saying "there 'might' be some sperms in pre-c um" somekind of a method to frightens teenager so they stay out from free sex and to prevent STD? Or (now I'm placing myself as an arrogant jerk which doesn't trust any of those research) are there actually a little mount of sperms in pre-ejaculatory fluid? If so, how much the percentage?
6 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHow to determine ruby source?
I have an old ruby gemstone set in silver ring. The stone was bought by my late father in 1970s. The weight is approximately 5 carats and the stone was cut cabochon. The ruby has a vivid hot pinkish red color, but also a color zoning which the color is softer and got an asterism in there (35% length of the stone). The gemstone is included especially in the softer red-pink zone while at the vivid red zone is much cleaner.
I tested it at the local gem lab, says it doesn't show any signs of treatment. But shame, It also doesn't explain where did this ruby came from. When I look at it with 10x magnifier, I can see tiny cracks all over the ruby. I also tested it with UV light and it burns orangish-red, so maybe it doesn't came from Thailand. Either it's from Myanmar or Africa.
Is it possible for me to find out where did this gemstone came from?
1 AnswerEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoI have a pure yellow colored Sapphire, is this a good stone?
It's 3,2 carats (est 10x8mm) with traditional oval cut. The color is pure yellow, it have a dark tone if I put it in the shadow, but I just can't find any hint of orange or green. And I can't say it's a golden-colored either because the hint of gold color only appears when I took it in a shady room, or when it's twilight.
The gemstone is so much like this:
If there's enough light in the room, it'll looked like this: http://www.gemselect.com/other-info/graphics/yello...
If the light is dim, it'll looked like this: http://www.venusjewellers.in/images/3.5CARAT%20YEL...
(sorry I'm not using my own photo)
I know little about BE treatment, but I now that if your Sapphire got too much hint of oranges or golden, maybe you have the BE treated one. What about this? Do you think it's a good stone?
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoPlease help me identifying this color-changing gemstone!
A week ago, I bought a rough gemstone from a local trader. I made my friend cut it into oval facet cut with european style. Now I have this beautiful but unnamed gemstone.
My friend told me that it's a color-change sapphire, but he argued with my other friend. He said it's an alexandrite. With they're argue like that, I have no idea what is the gemstone name actually.
The color is deep purple with red effect under sunlight. The more the yellow light, the more red it become. Under pure white light (like LED flashlight), the gemstone become bright blue.
Please anyone, help me identify this gemstone. I love colored gemstone but I'm no gemologist. Lab test is very expensive in my country.
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoBlue Topaz vs. Aquamarine vs. Blue Zircon, which one is better?
I've just bought a Blue Topaz a week ago because I want a gemstone that have a rich blue color. I picked Blue Topaz because Aquamarine gemstones are more expensive and yet the blue color is not deep enough. But when I went to my gemologist friend, he said it wasn't a blue Topaz, it's actually a blue Zircon. He told me that my gemstone have a good physical appearance and I can see a hint of green color under heavy white light without disturbing the rich blue color. Even when I took its picture with a camera I just can't capture the green color, it can only seen by naked eye.
I just wondering, how good is it if I compare it with Aquamarine or blue Topaz? Should I be happy if my gemstone is actually a blue Zircon?
