  • Good Name for Animal Rescue?

I currently foster cats and dogs for a couple of East Tennessee Rescue Groups. I would love to some day open my own animal rescue. I would like to rescue dogs and cats from high kill shelters. Does anyone have some ideas on a rescue name? I want it to have Rescue in the name.

  • Very Lumpy, Tender Scalp. Please Help?

I don't have medical insurance at the moment so I want to do my research before I determine to go to the dr.

About a month ago I noticed that the top of my head was swollen. It didn't hurt or cause discomfort.

The swelling has now progressed to a lot of lumps, the whole top of my head has several large lumps UNDER the skin. It is tender to touch ( I have a hard time brushing my hair) I have a constant throbbing headache. My eyes hurt all of the time.

I had my family look at my scalp and they could not see any discoloration or redness! I have not hit my head or fallen so this has me very curious.

    What could it be?

  • I'm really curious, What is this animal?

My husband and I were on our way home (we were out in the middle of nowhere) when there was this strange animal in the road. I have never seen an animal like this and I'm very curious as to what it is.

    It had/was:

    - very round ears, very big for its body

    - tan with white in between it's eyes and around its mouth

    - really big eyes that were also completely round

    - medium height, a little bit smaller than a doberman

    - very large body type

    - flat face

    - a long long long bushy tail

    - not afraid of the car

I really don't think it was a dog but if it was what's the breed? if not what is it?

  • Encouraging my baby to crawl?

My little girl is almost 8 months old and has yet to crawl. She just started sitting up a couple of weeks ago and has only rolled over a handful of times. Her pediatrician is concerned. She hates belly time and always fusses after a few minutes. When she is on her belly she does what I call "skydiving" She puts her legs and arms in the air and only lays on her belly. I try to put her knees under her but that never lasts long. I have tried encouraging her with her toys. So how do I encourage her to start crawling? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Help with my previous stray dog?

There was a stray dog out at my mother's (she lives out in the middle of nowhere) I had been trying for a year to catch the dog and I FINALLY did! :) It's been about 6 months since then and I have completely earned her trust. She lets me touch her feet, stomach and throat. She is so sweet and very cuddly BUT she does not like anyone else. Anytime my husband tries to go near me and I have her in my lap she tries to bite him. If he tries to pet her she ducks and hides. He has tried everything to get her to like him and it just doesn't happen. I'm afraid because we have a 4 month old baby and I fear my dog is going to try to bite my baby when she starts walking and wants to play with the dog. What do I do? I can't give up on her. How do I get her to like other people as well? I've tried punishing and scolding but she is so stubborn it doesn't work. How do I get the stray out of my previous stray dog?

  • How do I train my dog to.....?

I recently just got a dog (from the pound) and brought her home. I have to take her outside on a leash since I learned the hard way when she took off. She had never been on a leash before so I worked with her and now she doesn't mind it so much but she refuses to potty when she's on it. I take her out several times a day and she does nothing but the moment she comes inside she goes potty. So how do I train my dog to potty outside while on a leash?

  • Please HELP! I don't know how to react! Help Help Help!?

about a year ago my sister's boyfriend took advantage of me while I was drunk. I filed rape charges on him but the case was dropped due to lack of evidence. I know I shouldn't have been drinking without my husband around and it is partly my fault since I was drinking! I didn't think I had anything to worry about since i was with my sister's boyfriend! My husband and I were able to work through it and my sister stayed with her boyfriend since he lied thru his teeth about it. She is engaged to him now. I still have to be around him if I want to see my sister. Since then it seems like my husband has become best friends with him. But my husband tells me that he can't stand him. He hangs out with him and doesn't want to tell me. I feel extreme betrayal from my husband. Am I wrong to feel this way? What should I do? Ignore it?

  • -->What is wrong with my dog? Please HeLpPp!!!<--?

We recently just got a dog about a week ago. She was really skinny so I wanted to check her for worms, but she has not pooed at all! Is that normal considering how skinny she is and that she might have worms. I don't want to take her to vet and spend all that money if it is normal or a simple fix. Please help me. Is this normal, if not is there a simple way to make her poo?
