  • I need a real professional plumbers opinion about my kitchen sink.?

I rent so I don't have a problem telling my landlord about problems but this one has been on going and I don't see it getting solved. Only our kitchen sink is clogged, rest of the drains are fine. we've snaked it and used root killer, and it will run smoothly for about an hour before it clogs again. we are constantly plunging and we get black slime out only after snaking it over 50 feet. plenty of "professionals" come over and snake it but the problem hasn't gone away. what is wrong with it?

  • how to keep your meringue fluffy?

So this is the recipe I used for the meringue, on my lemon meringue.

    4 egg whites

    1 tsp cream of tartar

    2 tablespoons sugar

Place egg whites and cream of tartar in the bowl using a hand mixer, beat egg whites until soft peaks form and then gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.

however it didn't form stiff peaks in 1-2 minutes, it was slightly bubbly egg white, so i beat it until it could form stiff peaks. When I put it on my pie and baked it, it came out flat on top, like it melted and turned into a candy coating. I'm doing something wrong, help?

  • Is anyone else concerned about the abuse to little girls bodies in the name of competition and beauty?

These little girls are often sighed up in a class or competition, that turns into a obsession either for them or there parents. Is it ok to let our children be physically abused in the name of competition or beauty? In America we are starting to question the validity of beauty pageants for little girls. There sexuality exploited in the name of beauty. How is being physically abused in the name of sports different? This seems to be directly linked more to female than males, however when a male athlete is in a different weight class there are exceptions made for them. Male and female athletes suffer just the same, so is it ok for an adult to encourage this treatment when then are so young?

I really want to know what are the benefits in having them doing these sports (the physically demanding) at such a young age vs when they are older and may be able to handle the physical and mental stress better?

    What are the cons?

I may be wrong, but I can remember my friends and a few of them nearly died trying to be the best at something that was such a small margin of being the best at.

  • What is the first large eyed alien in the movies?

I watched a movie about history of alien sightings and a scientist pointed out that the first sightings of large eyed aliens corresponds with a movie release (on earth) with a alien with the same features, before that movie all alien sightings where of more bug like aliens. Does anyone know about that movie, or the one with the scientist making that connection?

  • What would a forest ranger do?

Say you have a man eating bear creating a blood bath from Alaska into Canada, would you have to work with the Canadian forest rangers to hunt the bear down, or would you just notify Canada that you tracked a dangerous bear heading their way?
