My ex bf and I were involved from the time I was 15 to 21 (though officially were dating from the time I was 17-21). Him and I were best friends. Around this time last year we our relationship was not going well and after I decided I was going to go to graduate school 200 miles away, he officially broke up with me. Since late January, he has been texting me from time to time though he says he has a gf and he claims that he has "moved on", yet when I asked him if he thinks of me sometimes and if he kept the stuff I gave him his answer was "maybe" and "yes". Why do you think he keeps talking to me?

I realize that there are many people who work in the medical field who do live a healthy lifestyle. However, I notice that there are a number of people in the field who constantly eat unhealthy foods and rarely ever exercise. I have also heard about many doctors or nurses who smoke. Why do you think these people behave this way if they obviously know about how to be healthy?

I have to go to a Juma service tomorrow for my Theology class at a campus Mosque. Do I have to wear a head scarf if I am not Muslim? What should I expect? I don't want to offend anyone.

What are some fun ideas and good places to go for a 21st birthday in St. Louis, MO. My actual birthday is going to be on Monday, June 27th.

I don't mean to be ungrateful but my mom, grandma, aunt were all planning this trip for me to go to las vegas with them for my 21st birthday, but I didn't want to go on my actual 21st birthday for a couple of reasons. One reason is I would want to celebrate with my boyfriend too and he wouldn't have been able to come. Also, nobody ever asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday. They just started planning this and were mad when I had mixed feelings about going. Well now the whole thing is cancelled anyways because I got in "trouble". Should I feel bad about this or did my concerns make sense?

My ex just texted me asking if I want my stuff back. I really am not done with our relationship. How should I respond? Should I say yes but then try to make conversation with him? or should I tell him that I really need to talk to him? or should I have him meet up with me to get my stuff but then impress him by looking extremely nice and such?

He is mad because of an incident that happened last weekend in which he could have gotten into trouble and it would have been partly my fault. However, he punished me somewhat harshly and refused to do anything with me on Valentine's day. How can I make him less mad? I'm 19 years old and I'll be 20 in 4 months.I'm just wondering because it will make me feel better. I have a permit but I failed the test two times. I am going to get lessons soon even though its so expensive. I just feel so bad about it. It's caused a lot of issues in my life. I haven't had very much job experience because of it and my boyfriend gets upset with me. Does anyone have any advice other than my idea to get lessons?

I need help. I'm 19 but my mom is still very overprotective.I live on campus but I go home every weekend because I refuse to stay in the dorm with my obnoxious roommate. My boyfriend is tired of my mom being strict. She calls me a lot and is always mad when i stay out late even though im not even doing anything bad. She drives me crazy.I get in trouble easily.My boyfriend thinks that i need to become more independent and free which is true but there is a problem. He wants me to stay the entire weekend at his parents house and I don't really want to. I get tired of being there. Plus I will feel guilty if my mom is all alone and I would like to see her and go shopping or something. I want to go home but i dont want her to be treating me like im still in high school and embarassing me.What should I do?

I feel bad because my boyfriend was in a bad mood when I talked to him today. He said I'm pissed off and when I asked why he said because of "everything". I'm not sure what he meant by everything- hopefully he isn't mad because of me.I don't really know how to react. I told him we will have fun this weekend but he said I doubt that. I know him well enough to know it will go away within at most a week but I want to make him feel better. What should I do? I have had this rash on the top of my butt for a few days now and today i noticed that my lymph nodes in my groin area are swollen. I really dont want to tell anyone I know because i'm embarassed. I thought about using the antibiotic gel i use for acne on it and an anti-fungal cream i have. Im thinking it could be from wearing tight pants and sweating.

The area of psychology I am thinking about going into is Industrial Organizational Psychology. I feel like I need some kind of minor because I need to complete 120 credit hours to graduate.

She has been doing a lot of annoying things but this was the thing that topped it off. Lately she has been telling me about her disgusting personal problems. Then when she is taking care of the disgusting personal problem she doesnt even go into the bathroom.Also she is constantly complaining in really exaggerated ways like "I hate my life!" and "Jesus Christ!" What is wrong with her? Is she an attention freak or something?

Lately my poetry my teacher has been commenting that my poems are full of too much cliches. What do you think of these ideas? one idea is to write a poem about Rapunzel and how she feels oppressed but then she realizes that she is actually afraid. Or I was going to write a poem about Eponine and use a star or a tree for a metaphor for lonliness. Are these ideas too cliche?
