  • Snake won't come out of hiding.?

    Hello everyone,

My son has a Abbott corn snake, he is about 1.5 feet long. Over the weekend we bought him a new climbing thing for in his cage. Well there is a hole under it and we didn't think the snake could get to it but of course he did, so now he is in the thing. How can we get him out? Is this just a waiting game or can we fill it with water to force him out? My son has Aspergers and is losing sleep wondering if he is ok.

  • My new birds beak is overgrown.?

    Hello all,

On the forth of July in my back yard I had a bird land on my head. Sense then we have looked for the owner by posting on a lost and found bird site and putting up posters. We found out that he is a Canary Winged Parakeet. I think he was on his own for awhile due to his beak being overgrown. The tag on his leg says 2012 so I am thinking he was born this year? Anyways he is now our bird. He is very loving, almost to much, lol. His beak is overgrown, it was that was when he found us. I have a cuddle bone, wooden perch's, sand paper like perches, a bunch of toys and slowly getting him use to some fruits and veggies. His main diet is seed, he loves sunflower seeds. Now that he has a little better diet will his beak go down or is this something I should file or have a vet file down. I prefer not to take him to the vet. Should I just give it some time to see if it goes down on its own?

  • Laminate vs hardwood floors?

Ok so this is what is going on. We bought our house 4 years ago. We thought that under the carpet we had hardwood floors. We decided to get rid of the carpet and refinish them. Turns out that the floors were removed in the living room, dining room and kitchen. There are still wood floors in the bedrooms and hallway. So now we either have to put hardwood down and refinish the floors in the bed rooms and hallway or we will put down Laminate down through out the house. There are ups and downs to both so we don't know what to do. This is our main living floor so there is a lot of traffic. If we get the hard wood we will have to move out for about a week. Any suggestions out there?

    Hello everyone,

I am about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant, I am very excited. My current son is 10 years old so this is really all new to me again. And boy, I can't believe how much everything has changed since I was pregnant last. I have already contacted the doctor she said just to watch it. What has happened is that on of my breasts is about 1/2 inch bigger than the other and actually hurts. The other one is just fine just a little sensitive and heavy. Has anyone had experience with this?

  • Is there a link with prenatal Vitamins and abdominal pain?

    Hello Everyone,

Here is the story, my husband and I are going to try to have a baby starting in a couple of months. I went off of birth control on 06/06 and I started to take prenatal Vitamins 06/20. Since 06/20 I have been a little nauseated in the morning for about 45 minutes. I have been having abdominal pain, about 2 inches below the belly button since 06/20 also. The pain isn't that bad and only hurts when I go to sit down or if it is pressed on. During my weight lifting routine it doesn't hurt. Could this be from the vitamins? Also we have been having unprotected sex but using the pull out method, if that makes a difference.

  • Would you consider this a form of cheating?

Would you consider this to be a form of cheating? If a guy went onto dozens and dozens of websites, including singles and porn sites, talked to women, some naughty and some regular talk. Set up sex dates but not actually go on them.. Not just talking to one person but thousands of girls and kept it a secret for the last 4 years. What would you do?

  • Is there ever responsible mix breeding?

Everyone understand that most people on Yahoo answers is completely against mixing breeds. Also I would assume that everyone also knows that our current dog breeds were once mixed breeds to get the breed we have today. Now, are you against responsible mix breeding if it is done correctly and for a purpose? Many of your breeds today have 3-4 different breeds mixed with them to get them where they are today and are now considered a breed.

  • Greyhound adoption experiences.?

My husband and I have been looking into adopting a Greyhound for quite some time now. Recently we found out that one of our local race tracks will be shutting down at the end of the month so there will be a lot of them that need homes. We know a lot about them and just love the breed. They are really sweet dogs. I was wondering if anyone here has adopted a Greyhound and what there experience was like? We do have another dog that we adopted, he is a Corgi/Queensland heeler mix.

  • Cat Genie Question, need advise?

I have owned a cat genie for about 2 year, love the thing and would recommend it to anyone. A little over 6 months ago my male cat got bladder crystals. He is doing great now but will no longer pee in the Cat Genie, the vet and behaviorist say it is do to him associating the Cat Genie with the pain of the bladder crystals since he will still poop in it. I have tried everything I can think of to have is use that again. Since than I had to buy a litter box again, gross. We tried re-training him, he tried changing the sent of the cleaner so he would think it was a different box. We changed the look and took the sides and hood off. Does anyone have any ideas? My other cat still uses the cat genie.

  • To shave or not to shave?

    Hello Everyone,

I have a Corgi and well they have really thick coats, double coats. It is summer now and he is so hot. He usually has to stay inside while we are all outdoors. I have heard from other people that I should shave him. I have had many dogs and have never done this. Would this be a good thing to do? The thing is that he wants to be with us outdoors but he really gets over heated. Any advise on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Is this Normal with Gerbils?

My son has 2 gerbils, we got them from my sisters gerbils that had babies. From my understanding they are mixed with mice and gerbils. They are about 6 months old and are male and have been living together for there entire life. Yesterday they were attacking each other to almost death and we had to separate them, one of them is in bad shape and most likely will not live. My entire life we have always had pure bred gerbils and have never had this happen before. Does anyone have any experience with this as to what to do or why this happened?

  • IUD/pregnancy/more birth control?

    Hello everyone,

Here is my story, I got the IUD Marina in March 2008, I called my doctor this week due to having many unusual symptoms and didn't know if it was caused by the IUD or if I was pregnant. The doctor called me back and told me for the next 3 months to take birth control pills along with having the IUD. But before I started taking the pill I took a home pregnancy test just to make sure, it came back negative. BUT here are my symptoms: Weight Gain, Nausea, Acne, Back Pain, Sensitive Nipples, dizziness, frequent urination, trouble sleeping. I was just surprised that my doctor didn't want me to come in for a blood test. Should I take the pills or call the doctor again?

  • age gap in children question?

    Hello everyone,

Have any of you out there had a big age gap between your kids? If you did are you happy it went that way or do you wish you would have had them closer together. My son is 8 yrs old and we would like to wait a couple more years to have another one. Do you think that is wise or do you think we should have one sooner. The age gap would already be really big so would it even make a difference waiting even longer. We have been going back and forth about this for the last 6 months, any insight would be great. Thank you in advance and I always choose a best answer.

  • Cat with Bladder Crystals?

    Hello,

I was feeding my 4 year old male cat Innova dry food. Well he ended up with bladder crystals, he just got tested again and is now clear. He was on a prescription food from the vets and now he can go on a pet store food. I have talked to 2 different vets at the same vets office, one says stick to the wet canned food now and the other one says stick with dry. I am not sure what brand is the best for my cat and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I loved Innova and my cat does too, he misses it and doesn't like the wet food but they don't make on for Urinary problems. I only found Pro Plan dry food for this issue. I tried googling it but can't seem to find a straight answer. Please help. I want to do what is best for my cat. Also my cat is now once again overweight do to the prescription food. He is one that that needs to be on a light formula and eat under the recommended amount in order to lose weight.
