I don't mean it with any disrespect, but I'm curious. drawing creatures and listening to music are both natural and a great part of our brain is dedicated to these these things. so why are these forbidden in islam? also, are these things forbidden in any other religion?

I'm a 17 year old guy and I've been living with self harm since I was 12. I blame my parents for all the shitt I've had to go through. They always thought of me as a freak because I listen to death metal and like to draw morbid stuff often. Yesterday my mother saw a few cuts and told my father about them and today she confronted me directly. I don't know what to do, I'm so scared. My paremts already think of me as a freak and they order me around and yell at me all day. If they find out about my self harm I don't know what they'll do. I've never told anyone about my S.H. But it has become a part of me. I'm really confused and have no idea what I should do.

But the problem is that I don't have the slightest clue where to start. So, where do I start?

And, are there any good sites to teach me?

Here's what happened in my school. The thing happened like 4/5 months ago. Our english teacher was the grumpiest guy I've ever seen. Anyway, he was giving us homework for the next day, it was 'completeng a story', where he would say the beginning of a bunch of stories and we would write them down to complete them later. After saying a few stories, he started a new one that began like this, "A farmer was taking some sex........" At this point, we were all astonished and started looking at each other in confusion. I mean, he wasn't our biology teacher, he's not supposed to be talking about erotic stories either, what the f***!!!!!! Then suddenly the whole room just collapsed in laughter. Understanding the situation, our 'gramps' corrected us, "I said sacks (as in sacks of potatoes or something) and nothing else". And that was the only time I saw that grump's smile.
