  • Help! My dog is not eating!!?

    I have had my dog for 4 years and he has always eaten dry dog food. I get him "Call of the Wild". He stopped eating that, so I changed to wet food and he won't eat that either. He will only eat turkey and chicken burgers.

    I am afraid he is not getting enough vitamins. I took him to the vet and they said he was fine. I have pet health insurance so his blood work was covered, but what he is eating now is really expensive.

    Any advice??

  • Unemployment Filing?

    Ok... So, I got a job last week. I have not worked a full-time week (40 hours) and have not received any payment yet. Can I still apply for unemployment one last time? Im in Arizona. The questions they ask are:

    Have you returned to work full-time?

    Have you received any money?

    Both answers are NO, so that should allow me to file again or am I wrong?

  • Accounting Question about Retirement Savings over 20 Years?

    I can not seem to figure this out. Please help

    Aunt Sally wants to prepare for her retirement. She has decided that she would like to retire at age 65. Once she has retired, she feels that she will need $30,000 per year to cover her expenses. Current actuarial rates say that she will probably live 15 years past retirement. To be safe, she would like to have enough money in the bank to last her for 20 years.

    a.) How much money will Aunt Sally need to accumulate by the time she retires at age 65 in order to be able to withdraw $30,000 per year for 20 years?

    b.) If Aunt Sally is currently 45 years old and has no money in savings, how much will she have to put aside each year in order to have sufficient funds to retire at age 65.

    Assume that Aunt sally will be able to maintain a 6% interest rate throughout the 40 years and that there will be 20 equal deposits to accumulate the funds and 20 equal withdrawals to then deplete the accumulated funds. (The deposits and the withdrawals will not be the same amounts)

  • removing viruses from an encrypted drive?

    Whoever can figure this out will impress me. I have a computer at my shop that is encrypted with bitlocker. It has a ton of viruses on it and wont allow me to get to the desktop. It is the ICE Virus. I removed the HDD from the laptop and it wont scan it because of the encryption. There is no option to boot from the CD either. I think they removed it (its a business computer and he doesnt want to get into trouble). Any ideas?

  • Screen is black after Windows 8 Install?

    I have a Dell One 24. I have been trying to install Windows 8 on it for 3 days now and the farthest it gets to is the splash screen with the blue MS logo. After that the screen turns black. I can hear it working and can use cmd functions to get it to do things. I dont have any cables to hook it up to another monitor either. I have searched the Internet and it seems like this is a big problem with a lot of people. Does anyone have a fix? I cant get into safe mode either btw. Thanks!

  • Drug test tomorrow after taking codeine?

    I have looked all over the internet, but thought some of you with experience could help me. I have a pre-employement drug test tomorrow and I took codeine yesterday. I am drinking a ton of water, using a product called Nature's Secret® Super Cleanse™ from GNC. I am also taking a Creatine supplement, multivitamin, and a B complex vitamin. I plan to take a product called Omni Cleansing Soft-gel right before the test.

    Is this enough to possibly get a negative result. I know it's not a guarantee, but if anyone has had any experience with this I would really appreciate it.

  • Fahrenheit to Celsius Java Program with a while loop. Help?

    Here is the teacher directions

    Add 40 to the temperature

    To convert from F to C, multiply by 5/9

    (Note: To convert from C to F, multiply by 9/5 )

    Then subtract 40 to obtain the final result

    Note: If you literally enter 5/9 in a Java or C program, the result will be 0.

    5 and 9 are both integers, so integer (first-grade) arithmetic will be used. In that system 5/9 asks how many complete 9's can be taken from 5, and the answer is 0. Another way to look at it is that 5/9 asks how many 9 dollar tickets can be purchased from 5 dollars. Again: 0. Similarly 12/5 is 2, 12/4 is 3, and 15/4 is also 3.

    To get the answer you really want in this case (.55555555......) you have to put a decimal point in at least one of the numbers to force floating-point computation. Thus you could write: 5.0/9 or 5/9.0 or 5.0/9.0 or 5./9. etc.

    Create a Scanner object associated with System.In() and use nextInt(), nextDouble() , etc. to obtain an input value from the keyboard. Use System.out.printf() to display the result with the specified rounding

    The program should continue to request input and print converted values until you enter the 'sentinel' value of -40, which is the same in both systems and therefore never really needs to be converted. Be sure to tell the user that entering -40 is the way to quit, and print the converted value before exiting.

    At this point loops have not yet been officially covered in the book. If you don't remember how they work from C, here is some code you can copy. However I have used a poor variable name which you MUST CHANGE to something better in order to get credit for the assignment.

    int zz;

    while(true) {

    //read a new Fahrenheit temp into zz

    //convert to Celsius and print the result

    //then exit the loop if input was -40

    if(zz == -40) {

    break;

    }

    }

    Use the tools specified above: You will type in numbers and the program will print results, very much as in the previous assignment. Do NOT use dialog boxes or other graphic tools. You will have a chance to do that later

    Here is my code so far. I dont know where to put the while loop and how to quit once someone enters -40. Can someone give me a hint?

    import java.util.Scanner;

    public class Temperature {

    public static void main (String[] args) {

    Scanner sc = new Scanner(System.in);

    System.out.println("Enter a number : ");

    double number = sc.nextDouble();

    System.out.println("1.Convert To Fahrenheit");

    System.out.println("2.Convert To Celesise");

    System.out.print("Pick a choice (1-2): ");

    if(sc.nextByte() == 1)

    System.out.println(number + " in Celsius equals " + getFahrenheit(number) + " in Fahrenheit");

    else

    System.out.println(number + " in Fahrenheit equals " + getCelsius(number) + " in Celsius");

    System.out.println("\nGood Bye!");

    }

    public static double getFahrenheit(double c){

    return ((c * 9 / 5) + 32);

    }

    public static double getCelsius(double f){

    return ((f - 32) * 5 / 9);

    }

    }

  • Abilify, Ritalin, Citalopram questions?

    I have severe anxiety/depression, insomnia, and ADD. I have been taking Citalopram for about 2 years, Ritalin for 4 months, and Klonopin for 10 years. I dont think the Citalopram is working anymore and my Pdoc wants to add a low dose of Abilify. I have read some bad stuff about Abilify and am wondering if this is the way to go? Anyone who has had experience with Abilify or any combination of these meds that would help me decide would be greatly appreciated! I have researched online for 5 hours and would just like some feedback from people with first hand experience. Thanks!

  • C++ Linked List Problems?

    Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks

    1. Write a program that allows the user to enter a series of positive

    floating-point numbers.

    2. Store the numbers in a linked list.

    3. Allow the user to enter numbers until a negative number is entered. (terminate when a negative # is entered).

    4. Next, transverse the list to total the numbers entered, number of nodes, and average to the screen

    Ok so now I have some numbers coming up at least, but now I need to transverse the list to total the numbers, count the number of

    nodes, and average to the screen.

    I asked this question on here already but this is in C++ and we cant use <list>, <iterator>, or anything like that. We have to Build it from scratch. Here is my code right now.

    /*
