  • Natural remedies for thrush?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and keep getting thrush, have been swabbed by doctor and that's definitely what it is, is there any natural products I can take instead of the chemicals that I keep being prescribed? Many thanks.

  • Can anyone recommend a broom for pet hair?

We have two dogs and they shed quite a lot of hair, despite sweeping our laminate floor daily, I can never get it up. Can anyone recommend a broom that actually picks the hair up instead of just pushing it round the floor?!! Thank you for your help

  • Organic flea treatment?

We have recently discovered one of my cats is allergic to regular flea drops that you get from the vets/pet shops. The area it gets put onto comes up like she has been burnt, and although it doesn't appear to cause her any problems, it looks very sore, she's long haired so have only just found it. She doesn't have a flea problem but because we have two other cats and two dogs, we keep on top of preventative treatment. Can anyone recommend an organic flea treatment that is skin friendly and works? Thank you in advance x

  • How young is too young?

I have a yearling shetland colt that I lead out most days, however, it is only round the farm due to being a main road at the end of the drive. I have now been given access to a quieter road but as Patch has not seen traffic before, I'm concerned for his safety. Is it too young to bit him at one year old?

  • Vietnam Motorcycle Holidays? ?

My husband and I have been wanting to go on a "different" kind of holiday for some time, and, after watching Top Gear last night, think that a similar trip to theirs would be perfect for us! We would both like to go to Vietnam, however, I cannot seem to find any good sites that offer un-escorted motorbike trips, and/or flight/hotel packages! Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? We're hoping to do it in 2009 before we start a family.(we live in the UK so would be starting our journey from there)

  • Does anyone know the Song title/artist?

I've heard a song I love on the radio but do not know who it is by or what it is called!! The only lyrics I can remember are; "And I'm so choked up that you're ok... I'm falling to pieces..." Vague, I know but if anyone has the answer I'd appreciate it!!

  • The Dark Knight - anyone else experience this?

I went to watch the Dark Knight on Friday night, and about 1.5 hours into the film, there was a 20 min power cut. Nothing wrong with that, but when I read the paper later, the critic who reviewed the same movie on a different night at a different cinema, wrote about the same thing happening to him. Did anyone else experience this problem? Awesome film!

  • Driving a mini shetland?

I'm an experienced rider but due to various back and health problems, I've had to give the riding up. I have bought a mini shetland colt and when he's old enough I'd like to drive him (I will enlist in professional help to break him and teach me!). My question is, how much weight will he be able to pull? Will he cope on his own or am I going to have to buy a second one (any excuse!!)? Many thanks for your help

  • Weaning Kittens?

I have 4 six week old kittens, who are eating kitten food very well, using the tray and developing normally - is it too early to start weaning them off mom? I need to get her milk to dry up so I can get her spayed.

BTW, I took mom in after she'd been abandoned whilst heavily pregnant - otherwise she'd have been spayed before hand, before I get any "irresponsible breeder" rants. I am not an animal breeder, I agree too many unwanted pets are in rehoming centres already.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

  • 4 Month Old Lab X Collie Pup eating Faeces?

Hi, my Lab X Collie pup has started to eat her own poop, as well as our other dogs mess. She's fed on a vet recommended puppy diet, and given the recommended amount per day (3 feeds a day), but she's started doing this. I don't want to muzzle her and can monitor her when on walks, but she also spends a lot of time in the garden when I am in the house so cannot watch her. Any suggestions why she's doing this? She has been fully vet-checked and is fine - how do I break this disgusting habit as she mainly does it when I'm not watching so cannot tell her "NO" as she won't know what it's for. Many thanks!

  • Best way to house train a pup?

We've got a 14 week old lab x collie. She's got a large indoor crate and keeps messing in it. She is fine when she's not in it and will go outside to the toilet - and she's out most of the day - but if we go out in the evening, even if its just the shop, she will go to the toilet in there. How do I break this habit, as she's started ripping up the newspaper to so it goes everywhere. She's praised when she does go outside and she goes for 3 walks a day (we are gradually building this up so we don't injure her joints) - any suggestions? She's been fully vet checked so no problem there.

  • Rescued Cat?

We've just taken in an abandoned heavily pregnant cat, it's obviously too late to get her spayed, but does anyone know how old the kittens have to be before I can take mum to the vets for the day to be done and they be ok? She won't be let out until she is spayed as I know they come back into season straight after birth - thanks for your help!!

  • Why are my underarms itchy?

My underarms have recently become really itchy, I can't think why, I shower or bath twice a day, and haven't changed my brand of anti-perspirant, washing powder, shower gel or shaving foam. I thought it might have been caused by irritation from shaving but I even went au natrel for a while and it didn't help!! I don't have a rash or anything but it is beginning to drive me crazy! Any suggestions as to what it could be?

  • Prelim 12 and Novice 28 BD tests?

I help exercise some horses on a small private yard, and the lovely lady who owns the place has told me I'm taking one of the horses to a dressage comp on 16th March. Never ridden a test in my life (I'm a jumping kinda girl!), and just wondered if anyone has the above tests to hand so I can be fully prepared and start learning them asap? Very much appreciated for your help in advance!
