I have an official windows 7 reinstall disk. I went to my bios and navigated to the boot section and set the first boot device to CD-ROM Group. My options were: CD-ROM Group, HDD Group, Floppy Group, Network Boot Group.

After I set CD-ROM to the first boot device I DID save and exit, I even double checked to make sure. My computer reset and no message came up for starting the boot from cd.

What am I doing wrong? The cd drive works fine.. I just can't boot my computer from a disk.

I got it in 2009.

Before I ask how to do this I want to just say that I don't care about saving and files or pictures on my computer. I have nothing on my computer that I can't just reinstall so I don't mind about personal files.

With that said my question stands. I want to "nuke" all my files and hard drive on my computer so I can start fresh, like the day I got the computer.

I hear I have to reinstall windows 7, which is fine but do I need a disk? If so do I need a certain type of disk or just a windows 7 reboot disk (I lost my original copy)?

With reinstalling windows 7 I still want to make sure every files is erased, please help me with this process.

I want to wipe my whole computer clean, all files and everything so I can start fresh. The reason I want to is because my virus protection has told me multiple times that I may have maleware on my computer and I know my virus protection can't cure it because its a free virus protection and I really don't mind wiping my computer.

According to friends, I need a new PSU because the GFX I want needs at least 500W or so to work. Which is fine. So after I buy those 2 new parts, will everything work fine?

So I'm at a hotel for 2 weeks, and I want to bring me computer and hook the tower up to the TV in my room. The TV does have VGA. The problem is when I go to source and scroll over to VGA it reverts right back to TV automatically. It does the same thing for HDMI. Help please?

Some of the videos I'm watching are stopping at random times and then the video restarts. Never had this problem before it's only recent? How can I fix this/improve my youtube problems. I've tried downloading the newest version of adobe and clearing my cache.. still have this problem. ALSO this is happening in other web browsers to. It's not just chrome which is what I primary use..

I thought that would be just about good enough to run games like league of legends or counterstike, or even minecraft, but i still get low fps on all of those games. Why is this?

I ordered an xbox game on ebay and I was wondering if the package will simply be delivered by my mailman and placed into my mailbox, or by some guy in a delivery truck. An xbox game is sorta small so I'd imagine it would just be delivered by my mailman right?

I have a N300 Wireless USB adapter for my computer. It works fine 75% of the time. but the other 25% it causes annoyance.

Sometimes when I go to a website it'll just tell me that the web page can not be found. So I must then refresh the page a couple time until it finally works. Sometimes I have to wait around 5 or so minutes until it finally works.

Also youtube videos don't load constantly. Usually I'll click a video and it works fine but other times I'll click a video and it'll start to buffer and then it'll say 'error this video cannot be played'.

As you can see this can cause a bit of frustration. I just don't understand how this adapter does this because my motum/router is only like 40 ft away from the wireless usb.

Any ideas on how to fix this without buying a new adapter or switching to wired?

I tried uploading a 4 minute video to youtube. I left my computer for 10 minutes. When I came back it said my video was done uploading. I went to the link that it gave me for the video and it said the video has been removed from the user? I went to my video manager and the video I just uploaded isn't even there. Help please.

So I want to see how far I'm running and I'm on google earth right now and I can see my house (where I start) and the spot where I stop. How do I make a distance trail from those to points and see how far I'm running?

I've been jogging a mile everyday for the past week because I'm pretty out of shape. The thing is I'll start jogging when I start off and then I'll stop and start walking almost 30 seconds later, because I'm so out of breath. My question is, if I keep doing these small runs and walk the rest does that help me run for longer distances in time? Does walking convert to running overtime?

Hello I've been on a diet for a week now. I want to know what I'm doing right/wrong. First off I've been eating things like egg whites on whole wheat bread and whole grain cereals for breakfast, salads (with a little Cesar dressing) and sandwiches for lunch (my sandwiched always consist of whole grain bread and turkey/low fat cheese. And for dinner I usually have grilled chicken. I'm not going to lie but I've been eating grilled chicken almost everyday I want to know if that's good. Also for snacks I eat mostly fruits like apples bananas and fruit cups sometimes no sugar jello (also want to know if jello is good or not).

So for exercise I'm jogging (mostly walking). For 15-30 mins every day. Is that good? Longer maybe?

And for drinks I've been drinking nothing but water. Does water help me lose weight or no? Should I be drinking other things like crystal light?
