  • Is sixteen too young to start strutting in heels?

So, I was doing some work experience at a little boutique, and my very generous employer gave me a pair of knee high boots. They have quite a sensible heel (I'm not one for stilettos), and round toe, and they really suit me.

Kinda like these, only the leather is beaten and the buckle is different, giving it a nice, vintage feel --

Anyway, I'd love to wear these out, because they really do work with casual outfits too, but do you reckon I'm too young, or as I've been told before, is it simply all about the confidance?

  • Anyone watching X-Factor? Did Dani Minogue just OUT Danyl!?

So, I was watching the show, Danyl's preformace...

Afterwards, did anyone else hear Dani say, "Danyl, I don't think there was any need to change the gender reference in that song if what we've been reading in the paper is true?" or something to that effect anyway? Now, I'm not accusing Dani or anything, but what I heard her say made no reference WHATSOEVER to his preformance, and Danyl himself seemed quite upset by the remark. He mentioned nothing himself previously about being gay, so what right had Minogue to bring it up? She didn't even comment on his preformance!

Can anyone else back me on this?

  • Should I just go for it with this guy? Please answer?

See, I'm an old-fashioned kinda gal (ie. SHY) and usually let HIM make the first move... but anyway, here's the story.

So I've been single for a while, and am quite enjoying it. My friend, the other day, asked me who I liked. Having no one in particular to say, I just mentioned this guy who I thought to be very attractive. Anyway, my silly, yet well-meaning friend decided to give him my number. I only found out about this three days after, and my phone had been off for ages. I wasn't that bothered tho', cause I didn't even know the guy. So anyway I was out today, and got to talking with the guy. Turns out he's a very nice person who plays bass and is kinda shy. My friend had been talking to him the day before, and apparently he told her that he texted me, however I received no such text.

Either he took down my number wrong, or just said it to shut my friend up. If so, I don't mind. But I don't want to seem ignorant if, by some wild chance, he actually did try to text me.

I know this was a pretty long question, but thanks for sticking with it!

I'd like to get to know this guy.... Should I go for it or what?

    Thanks in advance x

  • Fruit Jewellery - Need help to make it!?

    Hey all.

My class this year are setting up their own Mini Companies. I recently saw a video about this lady who had made jewelery from fruit, glitter and some other stuff. Could anyone tell me how this is done, how can you dry out the fruit and prevent it from rotting?I go to an all girls school, and I reckon plenty of them would be into some cutesy cherry earrings and other fruity gems!

    Thanks in advance.

  • Big Brother UK 2009 - who's gonna win?

Personally, I don't think any of them really deserve to win.

I had my bets on Freddie, as he was most entertaining, but I'm glad he was kicked out, his attitude really changed in his last week.

Siavash is annoying me, refusing to nominate. Rodrigo is good, but he hasn't stood out much over the course of the whole series, nor has anyone else in there.

Thank God the show is being axed!

  • Cycle to Brittas Bay - 80km?

    Hey all.

My school has organized a cycle to Brittas Bay next week, which is about 80km away. It's for charity, so I'm looking forward to it... But will I collapse on the way? I'm not a total couch potato, I walk most places, and I do cycle, but never 80km before. I dabble in a bit of yoga, but that's about it.

    Reckon I'll be okay?

  • Back to School - Strict Uniform Code?

Hey there. I'm living in Ireland, and going to a Catholic school, which is the norm for many students here. I'm sure many of you have had to put up with fairly strict uniform codes, if you're going/have went to a Catholic school. I do understand the need for uniforms, and it's probably best that such rules are in place. However, I received a letter in the post today from my school, regarding uniforms, and I can't help but feel a little disheartened! (rules are now more strict than they have been in previous years) --

The uni. is --- Navy tartan kilt, navy jumper (with red stripe and school crest), white shirt, red tie, navy socks/tights, formal black shoes, OFFICIAL school jackets.

P.E (Gym) Uniform - White sports top, Navy shorts, white ankle socks, Trainers (sneakers) and navy tracksuit (sweats)

We are not allowed to wear make-up or fashion jewelery. I'm not too worried about the make up, but I'll miss wearing earrings!

Not much I can do about it.

Everyone else looking forward to Back to School!?

  • Boil remedy - green papaya and orange?

They (whoever 'they' are) say that orange and green papaya help clear boils and whiteheads. Could anyone tell me how these ingredients could be prepared to concoct such a remedy, or are they just applied directly to the infected area?

    Thanks in advance! x

  • Rimmel - Lasting Finish 16hr Foundation?

http://www.rimmellondon.com/UK/products/face/produ... --- here's a link to the product, to jogg your memory if you've used it before.

Hello make-up lovers! I'm thinking about investing in this product, but is it really worth the buy? Does it live up to it's promises? 'cos I'm sick of sh*** foundations! I have combination skin (not overly dry or oily, in between).

Would I be safer sticking to Ivory (my skin is pale) or could I go a shade darker? Would that just look like terrible fake tan?

    Thanks in advance! x

  • Boyfriend feels up another girl, but threatens to kill himself if he's broken up with?

    Hello.

My friend's boyfriend got intimate with another girl, behind her back, and now the truth is out. Since she found out, her fella has threatened to start 'self-harming' again if she breaks up with him. Clearly, my friend is stuck between a rock and hard place. What to do? This is getting her down.

Please, don't treat this as 'just another melodramatic teen scenario', I'm concerned.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Why aren't women so keen to admit they masturbate?

Men seem to do it left right and centre (well, mostly when they're in their teens), and they discuss it openly. What's so different when it comes to ladies?

  • Yorkie Bar/Gingerbread men offence?

Why did some feminists focus all their energy in being offended by the 'Yorkie - it's not for Girls' advertising campaign, when in poorer regions of the world ---

Women are not being educated (and therefore child mortality rates are higher)

Rape victims in Saudi Arabia are treated just as harshly as the sexual offender, when the victims comes forth to report a rape,

and women worldwide (along with children) are at risk of being exploited through human trafficking?
