  • I want to submerge myself in other country's cultures as a career. What kind of jobs entail these things?..?

So I am a freshman college student who is currently studying audio production. I truly love audio, but I had a realization yesterday while looking at a mural on the wall of a Mexican restaurant. I have always ALWAYS admired the cultures of different countries/ethnicities. For example, I've always wanted to learn and experience Japanese culture. Their cultural history is so rich and intricate. They would have tea ceremonies, different kinds of kimonos represented different things, etc. It's so interesting to me. And I would just love to study that, travel, and somehow allow others to also appreciate other cultures. What kind of careers would allow me to express this passion?

  • I need help finding a certain Australian opal!!?

So, a couple of years back I had a BEAUTIFUL ring that I got from a craft fair. I cherished the ring, but an idiot I know took it from me then lost it supposedly. It's been over two years & it upsets me to this day.

So I was wondering if anybody could help me!! The man selling the rings said that the opals were from Australia. The one I had was stunning. It was a dark green color.. When it was in the light, it would show a bright orange/red.. Ugh it was so beautiful. I tried to find a photo on the internet, but I couldn't find it anywhere! Please please please help me, thank you :)

  • I had a really bad nightmare & now I don't want to be in my room..?

I'm a 16 year old gal that had a really bad dream last night. Yesterday, I was in the best mood ever & I went to bed thinking of great thoughts but ended up having a nightmare. I went to bed last night at like 2:00 & I woke myself up at around 3:00-3:30 bc of my really bad dream.

It was about me being locked in a store with sadistic people. My step mum was there & she was telling me all of these weird things. I remember her telling me "don't lay down in the middle of a pentagram bc it will change everything. (Spiritually)" I remember that she was telling me these satanic things bc she had done satanic things herself in the past. Then a creepy man started laughing & he said that he was the reason for some massacre that happened at a mall & he did it by clicking a button on his phone. The last part, I remember seeing these horrifying looking creatures, then I woke up. There were some parts I can't remember.

I got up out of my bed when I woke up so I could get my phone & reach any of my friends who are still awake. I got into my bed & I laid there for maybe 30min-1hr terrified & frozen. I was afraid to keep my eyes open but I was afraid to close them too bc I felt unsafe. So I ran upstairs & slept with my parents (I haven't done that in a long time). All day today I've been getting a bad feeling when I go in or around my room. I mean, why am I getting this bad feeling? I know it was just a dream but I don't want to be in my room AT all. Is this a mental thing?

  • Can I upgrade my 8 GB iPhone to 16 GB at Verizon?

Okay, so right now I currently have an 8 GB iPhone 4. I've had it for probably a year and a half now & I'm with verizon. I'm having space issues because of how much music I have, & I don't want to delete any of my music.. So I was wondering if I could get a free upgrade with my contract or if I would be able to upgrade to 16 GB but I would have to pay a little bit of money (and how much?).

  • My chest is hurting, what did I do to it?

Today, when I went on the lake with the family & friends, we ended up going tube riding. My brother and I went on together, & we were getting pulled by the boat pretty fast. I got slung off the tube at some point when my friend made a huge turn & after the impact, my chest was hurting. I'm more than certain that the impact is what started the chest pain.. (Just to clarify, I don't mean my breasts...)

I got back on the tube for another round but I almost couldn't take it. I wanted to get off because my chest was really hurting every time we hit a wave or something. I can endure pain but for some reason I was having difficulty enduring my chest pain.

I'm home now, and it's slightly discomforting to breathe or lay down. It's not hurting as much as it was before, but I'm also not being flung around on a tube anymore. What do you think I did to my chest? Should I get it checked out, or rest it out?

  • Why did I lose my vision for a few seconds then go cross eyed?

This is so strange! Just to let you know, I'm 15 years old and have no eye problems. But when I stood up, I lost my eye sight for a few seconds and then went cross eyed involuntarily!

I've lost my eye sight for a few seconds from getting up really quickly before, but my eyes never went cross eyed. It kind of hurt when my eyes went cross eyed, but I don't know why it happened! Can anybody help me please?

  • When I'm playing piano, why does my ear feel weird when I play this specific key?

So, as I'm playing my electric keyboard/ piano, I hit a key that plays the note "G"! There's something about that one specific note that makes my ears feel weird. I know it sounds strange, but every time I hit that note, my ears just feel really awkward! I don't know how to describe it because it doesn't hurt, but my ears feel normal when I hit any other note! Why does my ear react the way it does to this note! Is anybody able to possibly scientifically answer my question? Anything helps & thanks if you can give me an answer! :)

  • Could I possibly make it to Olympian gymnastics level later in the future...?

See, I'm 15 years old (as of a few weeks ago) and I want to work up to possibly be an Olympian gymnast someday! When I was in 3rd grade, I did a little gymnastics but I was having a heel issue at the time, so my parents took me out of it. I asked them for years "Could you put me back in please?" But they never EVER have me a direct answer.

I know to some people it would seem crazy to try to want to compete at around my age, but I've been really thinking about it! I've been doing yoga for a while now (not stereotypical yoga, I'm talking hard core, having to stretch every single direction yoga) and my flexibility has improved a lot! I think that may help me in gymnastics! Is it possible for a person my age to hop into gymnastics & go all out? I know it is much more intense than it seems for some people, but I'm ready to take the challenge if it's possible to make it from where I am!

  • Thinking about maybe getting some colorful non prescription contact lenses & have a few questions!?

Alright, so first off I want to say that I have perfect vision! And I AM fine with my own eye color! But the reason I'm thinking about getting some colorful, creative lenses is because I've seen pictures of them & they look really cool and fun to wear every once in a while! Not everyday, but whenever I just feel like wearing them! So I wanted to ask:

Are there any creative NON prescription contact lenses out there that won't damage your eyes?

What are the best sources for really cool contact lenses?

Where can I find the best prices for them?

IF I did decide to get them, what do I do to take care of them?

Is there anything else I should know before actually purchasing them?

    Thanks for any answers! :)

  • iTunes is saying I've gone over space capacity on my iPhone, when I don't think I have! Help?!?

Okay so I have an 8GB iPhone 4 I got about a month ago. My mum got herself, my brother, & I an 8GB data plan to go with our iPhones!

I have around 450 songs on my iPhone & a decent amount of apps but not enough to take up my entire capacity!

I have somewhere around 240 photos but that barely takes up any space!

I looked to see how much I've ACTUALLY used and I've only used about 6 GB but it says my iPhone is over capacity by 104.7 MB but I look in the settings on my iPhone & it says the complete opposite.

But it still says even on my iPhone that I don't have much capacity left. I thought I'm supposed to have 8 GB of internal data! Including some more data with my data plan.

My little brother used up about 50% of the data plan in the first week -_- But I think it's been over a month now so the data plan should be renewed by now. (I don't know if that has anything to do with my problem, but putting it out there just in case it is)

So, please help! It won't let me sync anything on iTunes because it says I have no space.

  • What happens if you were to call and win tickets on the radio when you are under 18?

Well, I haven't done this, but if I did call in and win them at my age (13 almost 14) would they still give me the tickets? Would I just have to bring my mom with me to get them?

  • Streetpass on my nintendo 3DS?

Alright, to use streetpass you apparently have to pass somebody else who has THEIR 3DS on. The question is, what are the odds of me passing somebody else who has their 3DS in their pocket? It's not like everybody has a 3DS so it would be difficult for me to get anybody on Streetpass.

  • Why are most men so rude about women being in professional sports?

Okay, so I've heard people say "Women belong in the kitchen. If they aren't, they are a waste of space." and someone has said "Whoever thinks women can be in the NHL needs to seek therapy for a feminist disorder thinking that they could have equal strength as men." That's horrible and RUDE!! I mean, it's not like women are people too and they have their own dreams, thoughts, and opinions. And sure, there are sports league for women, but they aren't necessarily professional or payed attention to often. l_l :l

  • Men SUPPOSEDLY having better physical ability then women?

Someone said that to me and I don't believe that. My physical ability is JUST as good and maybe better than a lot of guys I know. Someone had told me "Women shouldn't be in the NHL because guys have better physical ability than women and that wouldn't be fair to have someone weaker on the team." That's not right at all. I think it would be JUST as great to have a woman to have in the NHL than a man to be in the NHL. I mean, there are women out there who could take a hit from any person and somebody is just coming along saying girls are weaker? That's just stereotyping. Me? I'm a pretty strong women. I'm not a body builder but I'm definitely not a scrawny girl that can't defend herself. Heck, I could be in the NHL and I'd be perfectly fine. If a guy can do it, so can a girl. Just because we're a different gender doesn't mean that one gender is weaker than another. It's not fair to say things like that. What do you think about it? Do you think it'd be great to have a woman in the NHL and there's nothing wrong with it? What do you think about this?
