  • Is WEC owned by UFC?

I noticed that some fighters like Jaime Varner and Jens Pulver leave the UFC and end up in WEC. But there's always talk of them going right back to UFC. Does WEC have some type of alignment with UFC or are they owned by UFC?

  • Mirko Cro Cop vs. Bob Sapp?

I was watching some of the old K1 and Pride fights and saw the Cro Cop vs. Sapp. What the hell was that? Can someone tell me if they saw the fight back when it happened and why exactly Sapp went down in a heap? I know Sapp is a big wuss, but that was pretty sad. When it happened, I was thinking maybe he suffered a broken eye socket or rib, but just a short time later he got up and was walking around like nothing.

So... why did he go down like that? He wasn't knocked out and didn't appear to be kicked or hit with anything of substance. Did he make an excuse after the fight?

  • Can a person with tuberculosis get into the United States?

I know someone who interacted with a tourist from India. Only after an extended amount of interaction did the tourist explain that she was here to visit her family and that she has tuberculosis. Because of her poor understanding of English, she could not explain if she had active tuberculosis, but did explain that she is currently taking medication.

We are trying to figure out if she had active tuberculosis, how could she legally travel into the United States? I have never traveled out of country, so I have no idea if it's just a matter of not telling anyone when obtaining your passport or arranging travel.

  • Can anyone recommend a store that sells BBI Elite Force action figures?

I've just kind of stumbled on them and they look pretty cool. I've never really seen them in a toy store. I don't want to purchase one online without having seen it in person first. They appear top notch, but I'd like to see one first. Anyone know if a national chain that carries them?

  • Can anyone give me a good lawn care schedule?

I just bought a house with a decent but not great lawn. I have maintained a pretty good watering and mowing schedule, but have seen the lawn begin to brown and appear thinner.

Can someone tell me from beginning to end what I should do and when to bring the lawn back? I want to give it a shot before resorting to just pulling it out and putting in new sod.

Also I have a dog and obviously fear using anything toxic that he may be exposed to.

  • Suddenly aggressive dog?

I have an 11 month old Bull Terrier (not a Pit). He has always been extremely affectionate and has always loved people.

Suddenly about two weeks ago he showed a sign of being aggressive. We were at PetSmart getting him a new leash when an employee tried to help us get him fitted. When she leaned over him he snapped and started barking at her and growled. At first I understood because she is a stranger and basically smothered him. Then last night while my wife was petting him, she leaned over to give him a kiss (something she's done in the past) and he again snapped! He barked and growled at her. After he did this, he looked scared and stayed away from her. She would call him to her and he stayed away. Today at PetSmart we were at the register paying when the employee leaned over the counter. He was fine til she pounded her hands on the counter as she looked down at him-same reaction.

Should I be worried, or is this going to be his reaction when he's smothered? Will neutering help?

  • Is it okay to introduce a female Bull Terrier into our home? We have a male puppy already.?

I currently have a 8 month old male Bull Terrier puppy. He is extremely energetic and gets bored while we're at work. Would introducing a female puppy to the house work with him? I would love for him to have a playmate but I don't want to cause any dominance issues or return home to find one of them injured from fighting.

Any experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • What is sealing and respraying a ceiling?

I was considering removing the popcorn celing in the house I just bought. I found out that it most likely contains asbestos. I was told that instead of removing the asbestos (which is costly) I also have the option of sealing and respraying. Does this give the same look as if I were to remove the asbestos popcorn look? Or will this simply lock in the asbestos fibers?

  • Why is Mirko Filipovic known as Mirko Cro Cop?

I'm a pretty big MMA fan and have never heard this explained. I've always just heard him being referred to as both, but with no explanation for the Cro Cop name. Is it just a nickname? And if so, what exactly does it mean??

Either way, he was a bust in UFC. Just wondering.

  • When is a puppy no longer a puppy? Puppy sensative stomach?

My pup is now going on 9 months old and is approx 50 pounds. I've had him since he was 2 months old, so that may effect my way of thinking. I feel that he is old enough and big enough to eat some dog treats that are labeled as not for puppies.

I will try some such as bully sticks or Nylabone Healthy edibles and he's okay. Then I'll try something like some peanut butter in his kong or a Buzy Bone and he vomits or gets diareaha.

When do most people consider a puppy a dog? Is it after 1 year? And when does the sensative stomach tend to ease up a bit?

  • How do you think Brock Lesnar will fair in the UFC?

He's got the championship wrestling background (college, not the WWE!) and he's got freakish strength. I'm thinking he'll fairly well but I wonder if he can take a punch.

  • What to do with a "damp" "soft" Christmas tree?

I just bought a Christmas tree and brought it home. I put on the tree stand (which is one of the newer versions with the base and then 4 screws that twist into the tree stump) and upon standing it up, the tree tilted right over. It fell!

I tried to twist the screws tighter and noticed that the tree is so soft that as I twisted the screws in, they went in almost effortlessly! And it turns out that the tree is so soft and moist that the screws were tearing right into/through the stump and that's why it was falling over! I stood it back up and was able to litterly push my fingernails right into the tree! that's how soft it is!

Anyone experience this before? In 30+ years of buying trees, this has never happened before. Will this dry out quickly or am I screwed?

  • do store bought carpet cleaners really work?

I have a new puppy and he has been causing little stains here and there on my carpet. We didn't realize it and now the stains have set in. I'm trying to decide if renting a carpet cleaning machine is worth it, or is buying one from a Target type store better.

I have never used one of the store bought carpet cleaners so I have no idea if they really work. Any suggestions out there?

  • Recommendations for dog day care in the Tri-Valley area??

Due to a change in my work schedule, my puppy will be home alone for the first time in a few weeks. I am trying to do some research to help me decide if a doggie day care or in home pet-care is the best option. But it's not easy to find pet care on line. Does anyone have recommendations in the Pleasanton, San Ramon, Dublin areas??
