  • What size is the best size for a bandana?

    I'm going to make some bandanas, but don't know what size to make.

    The ones made in China are approximately 20" square, while most of the ones made in North America seem to be between 21" and 27" with no clear majority size.

    I'm not looking for a definitive answer, just checking opinions.

    Thanks.

  • How do I find partners for an asset and control protection LLLP?

    I have an asset protection project that I am trying to finish but have a hold up that I did not anticipate.

    I have almost everything I need: the money, the partnership agreement, the registered agent, all the state paperwork, the accounting system, etc.... but no parters. For this to work, it will take two LL partners but I'm a bit of a shut-in. My circle of "friends" is very small and all of them have been burned by "great investment opportunities" in the past and are leery of owning any part of any kind of business.

    There are hundreds of avenues from banks and angels to crowdfunding sites if I needed money, but don't want money I want limited partners. So if your network falls through, what do you do?

    By the way. I never said this was a "great investment opportunity". In fact, I've told them just the opposite since a primary goal of the partnership is asset protection, not profit. But it does have a reasonable chance of generating a small profit as the assets are placed into it. This may be part of the reason they are standoffish.

  • Looking the purpose of the second sentence in this code. The grammar used seems to indicate something different than what I'm being told.?

    "Wiring methods in the areas described in (section A) shall be listed and identified for use in such areas. Rigid metal conduit, intermediate metal conduit, rigid polyvinyl chloride conduit, and reinforced thermosetting resin conduit shall be considered to be resistant to the corrosive environment specified in (section A)."

    With regard to the first sentence "listed and identified" is defined elsewhere in the document as "materials or services included on a list published by an organization that is acceptable to the AHJ and concerned with evaluation of products and services"... Normally this is assumed to be UL, ANSI, or CSA but could include other testing and certification laboratories.

    Is the second sentence intended to replace the documents definition of "listed and identified" with a list of it's own that excludes other materials, or is it intended to supplement the "listed and identified" materials with materials it assumes are appropriate without them having to be "listed and identified"?

  • How does a 2-stroke multi cylinder engine crank case create vacuum and pressure?

    I know a single cylinder 2-stroke creates crank case vacuum during the compression stroke, and pressure during the power stroke, but how does this work in multi cylinder engines. Isn't the pressure difference crated by one cylinder negated by the movements of the others?

  • If starting or purchasing a business that is off shore, what are the tax filing requirements for my US taxes?

    I know that the business is subject to the tax laws of the country it is located in, but if I become the owner, as a US citizen, does that make the business subject to US taxes also? Or do I just have to pay taxes on what ever profit or income I draw from the business?

  • Why would someone put a lien on there own property?

    I'm looking at a list of tax foreclosure properties and see that several lots are owned by a developer. That developer has placed liens on all of there own lots. I have not found any records yet indicating the amount of the liens and am not planning on moving forward until I do, but I am confused as to why someone would do that.

  • How do you find a refrigerant leak in a refrigerator?

    I have trouble shot the fridge to the point that I know it's not the defrost heater, defrost timer, or compressor.

    I have pulled the back of the freezer off and there is no blockage, no ice, no frost, no cold at all... even at the restrictor. There is still some oil in the system and I can hear it gurgling in the low pressure side.

    I have not seen any oil on any of the copper. there is some corrosion in the lower portions of the tubing, but nothing that looks like a leak to me.

  • Hawking HD45B router problems?

    I just swapped out an old Linksys router that bricked after getting wet with a HD45B but can't seem to get it to work.

    The network has some devices with static addresses:

    122.138.0.1 = (Was the) Linksys Router / DNS Server

    122.138.0.2 = Cable Modem / Internet connection

    122.138.0.3 = (Was the) Linksys Router Administration GUI

    122.138.0.4 = Cable Modem Administration GUI

    122.138.0.11 = CCV Surveillance

    122.138.0.12 = CCV Surveillance

    122.138.0.13 = Printer

    122.138.0.20 = 2.4GHz Public WiFi Access Point

    122.138.0.30 = (Reserved for) 5GHz Secured Wireless Network Access Point

    The linksys was the DNS Server for all other network devices with the Address Range set to: 122.138.0.100 to 122.138.0.254.

    It was also the WAP for the 2.4GHz Public WiFi at 122.138.0.20.

    It also did the NAT for the cable modem.

    When the 2.4GHz router bricked, I thought I would replace it with the HD45B dual band as it is advertised as using separate transceivers and settings for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. I have not done anything with the 5GHz band and I'm not trying to get it working at this time.

    Mode: AP Bridge-WDS

    2.4GHZ Wireless: Enabled

    2.4GHz Band: (B+G+N)

    2.4GHz (SSID): Grand Ridge WiFi

    Channel Number: 11

    Security: Disabled

    LAN Configuration

    IP Address: 122.138.0.1

    Subnet: Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway Address: 122.138.0.2

    DNS Server:

    DHCP Server: Enabled

    Lease Time: 1Hr

    Default Gateway IP: 122.138.0.2

    DNS IP: 122.138.0.1

    DHCP Client Start IP: 122.138.0.100

    DHCP Client End IP: 122.138.0.254

    Domain Name:

    Smart phones can see the WAP but can not connect, and for some reason the DHCP is not being served via wireless or wired by the router. What am I doing wrong? Also often after saving data I lose all access to the routers AP GUI and have to do a reset.

  • Should I let Capital One sue me or should I sue them first?

    Due to several personal finance limitations, I had not made any payments on my Capital One account for nearly a year when they sent me a settlement offer. The offer was more than I could afford at the time but I did not want to just ignore the offer. This was the first time Capital One had made an offer in writing after all, and previous telephone offers were dishonored by Capital One.

    I sent them a counter settlement offer, in writing, that was as much as I could afford. They agreed to the counter offer, and accepted the payment that also stated by accepting the payment they were accepting the terms of the counter settlement offer.

    Now they are pretending the offer was never accepted, and threatening to sue me.

    I have written to them twice about this ( sent certified mail ), and they have not acknowledged my letters. Additionally it is still listed as an active collection on my credit report, also in violation of the counter settlement offer.

    If I let them sue me, will I have to go to Virginia to fight this?

    If I sue them first, will they have to come to Washington State?

  • What is F.O.B. exactly?

    I know it stands for Freight On Bord, but what's that mean? How much of the shipping is actually covered when a price is stated as F.O.B.?
