  • Stay-fresh Clothing for space travel?

As Japan’s first long-duration astronaut, Wakata spent the majority of his mission carrying out experiments in the ISS.

He was also conducting an experiment of sorts as he revealed that he had been wearing the same pair of prototype underpants for a month to test their ability to withstand space life. "My space station crew mates never complained," he told an interviewer on Thursday.

Designed to be anti-static, flame-resistant, odor-eating, bacteria-killing, and water-absorbent, the underpants are part of a project aimed at making sure that future space travelers have optimal room in their suitcases.

  • Moon Therapy for Lunatics?

Perhaps Lunatics and other social deviants and hardened criminals should be shipped off to the moon for some lunar therapy. They can check themselves into a Looney Farm...food for thought.

  • The Hadron Collider aka The Atom Smasher?

When the Large Hadron Collider is turned on in August, will we be bombarded with particles or will Earth be in melt down mode? Shouldn't experiments like this take place offline like on another moon or planet? With the pole reversals, what will be the ramifications?

  • Exchange student starved while in Egypt?

Jonathan McCullum was in perfect health at 155 lbs when he left to spend the school year as an exchange student in Egypt.

But when he returned home to Maine 4 months later, the 5'9" teenager weighed a mere 97 pounds and was so weak that he struggled to carry his baggage or climb a flight of stairs. Doctors said he was at risk for a heart attack.

Do you think this was intentional? And what recourse does he have?

  • Tattoos what's the purpose of getting them?

Why do people have tattoos all over their bodies? It's like branding yourself with ink and it's not body beautiful to look at. Why not just use a branding iron, it's faster and more efficient.

  • Casinos: Taking Away our Children's future?

Casinos are popping up overnight in this country. Are parents wasting their children's educational dollars on casinos? It's bad enough they spend all their money on LOTTO. Children go to bed hungry all over the country because parents spend it all on gambling. What's happening to our moral standards? This is even worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.

  • Why do people fight and yell instead of going to the Library?

It seems people would rather pick a fight and kill and steal than go to a Public Library and become educated. It's one thing if you can't afford to go to college to become an engineer or physicists or scientist. But surely one can sit in the Library and learn something constructive, because all the Libraries in the U.S. are FREE. ....FREE....FREE. So why is that?

Liquid Nitrogen is a liquid at 77 deg. Kelvin. To prevent it from warming and expanding to a gaseous state, at what temperature would I have to set a thermostat to keep it cryogenically cooled to 77deg Kelvin. In other words, does it take a lot of energy to keep it at that temperature?

  • Eskimos dying of Alcohol Abuse!?

Nome, Alaska: American Indians and Alaska Natives have a 550% higher rate of alcohol-related deaths than nonnative Americans, a disparity blamed in part on inadequate health care.

It has six bars, four liquor stores and two private clubs that sell booze, and annual alcohol sales total $5.5 million, which is equal to more than half of the city's annual budget.

Is Greed killing off the Eskimos??

  • When I exercise I add water and co2 to the atmosphere?

My biology teacher said that water and CO2 are the byproducts of aerobic respiration and went on to explain the Krebs/citric acid cycle. And we were given this equation:

    C6H12O6 + 6 O2 → 6 CO2 + 6 H2O

Does that mean we will drown in our own water that we give off? Wow that blows my mind.
