Ever since I installed it my pi has just spat out endless error message on boot

my teacher stated the other day that the statement "horses exist" is analytic (tautological) because existence is a predicate (part of the definition) of a horse

i disagree, i think that it is a synthetic statement as it requires evidence, easily produced by locating a horse, i say this because arguments about the existence of god have shown that existence cannot be a predicate of anything. otherwise i could use the same argument to prove hobits or the loch ness monster exist.

however, another member of my class argued that it was a meaningless statement because saying anything exists or does not is meaningless.

i am interested to see what everyone else thinks

I don't swear, I don't rant, I usually use good grammar and there's almost never a spelling mistake.

I always provide all the information I have and I'm always polite.

But for some reason my last two questions were deleted. I asked for help fixing technical problems on games and I posted them in the video games section and they were deleted

I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

Can anyone advise me?

i'm not looking for smart alec answers about how theres no such thing as evil, or for an explanation of why it exists or anything like that.

i simply want a list of anything that could be considered moral evil from a philosophical point of view, ifor example, murder, rape, torture...

I made te mistake of updating my windows 8 laptop to 8.1

At first it couldn't connect to wifi at all, it simply refused. Using an Ethernet cable I have gotten all the latest updates for it. This partially fixed the problem

My laptop can now connect to any public wifi. A hotel, the library, even my school wifi.

However, it still refuses to connect to home wifi networks, my own wifi for example, or the holiday let.

It has nothing to do with passwords because my school needed a password and it worked but the holiday let didn't and it didn't.

It seems to be making a distinction between private and public WIfi

Why? And how do I fix it? Is it something to do with firewall settings or something?

Most people behave differently depending on who they're with or where they are but for me its so different it's like I'm a different person, one for my parents, one for my friends, one for the teachers, one for the web, one for my poetry. When two of these worlds cross over i cant seem to handle it, I feel my brain slowly shutting down with the stress, that's why I hate things like parents evening.

But none of them feel like the real me, I'm only ever myself when I'm alone, and the real me is not generally a nice person, it kind of scares me sometimes, the things I find myself thinking, the fates I will on other people.

Sometimes it's like I'm just completely detached, no emotion, no happiness or sorrow, no love or hate, not even anger anymore. Just blankness, like someone else is living my life for me.

I'm not sure which is worse, me or the emptiness.

What does everyone think about this scheme to lower the age of convent to 14(or was it 15). It's not surprising when you think that 2 thirds of girls have had some kind of sexual experience by that age.

I do have one small complaint

At the age of 16 we are concidered old enough to get married, start a family, get a full time job to support that family and go off to war and get our heads blown off for our country bu we aren't allowed to drive, or drink. If we're old enough to have kids and get killed I think we should at least be allowed to drive. No?

my laptops WiFi is broken but Bluetooth works fine so is it possible to connect to my WiFi with my iPhone and then forward the connection to my laptop via Bluetooth or with a wire?

As many as you can think of, don't need to be perfect, just close

this sounds a bit strange but I don't fully understand it myself, I need someone with kik who is willing to sit and chat for hours at a time with my 'lil girl' who is in fact 18, you probably wont be called on that much but she is pestering me for someone to 'babysit' her. im trying to download fonts, when I click download, the bar pops up with open and save, I should be able to click open and then install but now for some reason it opens it in notepad instead and wont give me the option to download, how do I get it to install again,

it gives me a list of programs to open it with, which one do I choose

Philosophy hw for the 4th

A lot of people on this site have said that having sex with a concenting girl of legal age with no blood ties to you is morally wrong just because she lives in the same house as you

This makes no sense! Almost every married couple in the world fit the criteria!

Just to be clear I am referring to two questions I read, one concerning a girl who fell in love with her "brother" after discovering she was adopted and he was not

And the other asked by a boy who wondered if it was legal to have sex with his step sister,

A STEP sister is NOT a HALF sister

She doesn't do it as much as she used to but she feels guilty about something, I don't know what, and feels she needs to punish her self, I stop her when I catch her and comfort her but I can't be there all the time and I don't know how to help her

My girlfriends mother just tried to hurt her arm! I don't know what I can do to comfort her or any advice to give her?

I'm planning on getting some fish but I want ones that naturally live in large shoals so I can fill the tank. They also have to get on well with my Mexican walking fish cos they'll be sharing the tank.

I would prefere small fish if possible, cold water or tropical but not marine
