If you make an ironic or sarcastic gag very often Americans take it literally and become so irate they soil their pants and take a rifle to the nearest school. Aussies and Canadians don't do it and of course us Brits haven't the time with all the moaning about the weather.

2 threats to mankind: Covid - govts do whatever is necessary AGW - govts do the bare minimum WHY?
Deaths from Covid happened as predicted therefore actions immediate and draconian were introduced and universally supported because of sound empirical evidence.
In contrast activist James Hansen introduced man made global warming terror 32yrs ago and still no empirical evidence exists.Signature predictions like the Himalayas being snow and ice free, the Maldives sunk, Manhatten highway en route to being under water, polar bear numbers NOT decreasing all flat out wrong. Add in robust global temps (UAH satelite and USCRN) showing nothing of concern and the answer to why sound bites and lip service beset "dangerous" (Obama) man made climate change is obvious - it is a robust science bereft fallacy

Resultant sea level rise is apparently only a danger when in political office. Once out the threat vanishes and you can buy coastal property. Here is Obama's.

I have a taxi and was very gently rear ended - no damage done the offending driver and myself shook hands and departed without exchanging details although I did register the accident with the police. My passenger was diagnosed with whiplash and is making a claim against the guy who bumbed us based on the excellent cctv footage from the cab.
I want nothing to do with it and don't understand why her "no win no fee" solicitor has just rang asking for my insurance details.
He says the claim cannot go ahead without it - why? I see it as a way of somehow dragging me into a claim/counter claim via insurances and I'm just not playing.
Any uk solicitors got a take on this please it seems a very odd state of affairs.
