My husband has done all the testing and paperwork and he is about to sign the paperwork to officially enlist. I have been googling and researching the coast guard for over a year and the one thing that has got me nervous is the actual paper signing.

Everywhere I have read has said that recruiters can be kind of tricky and that you should make sure to have everything promised in writing or it never happened.

Those whom have served, what would you recommend writing in, or what would you watch out for in the contract?

We haven't been promised anything regarding location, which we are fine with but after all the researching I kind of feel like I am helping my husband study for a tricky test that he gets one chance at. I just want to make sure we don't sign up for something that isn't what we thought.

So here is the question:

Write an equation for the acid–base reaction between ammonium ion and sulfate ion

Here is what I have

NH^+4 + SO2^-4 = ?

That is as far as I can get so if someone could explain this to me or point me towards a resource as I see this question contradicting what I thought I understood.

I understand that in an acid base reaction H2O and a salt is produced, but in the question above I can't even get H2O to form since I only have one hydrogen.

What am I not understanding here?

Looking for a website with a list of Coast Guard bases in the US. I can find Army, Navy, Air force, etc but I am having no luck with the Coast Guard. The only one I found was Wikepedia but it is outdated as it doesn't list ones that I know exist.

My husband is enlisting in the Coast Guard and is trying to prepare for the ASVAB but the recruiter gave him minimal information on the test and no study guide or prep material. I am looking for advice on what he should study or any websites that have sample tests.

My friend of 10+ years began smoking 3 years ago after a bitter divorce. She has decided that she needs to quit smoking for obvious reasons but is concerned with many issues that quitters face. As her friend, I am going to be her main support line and I would love to know recommendations on the methods and products that others have used to quit. She is most concerned about the mood swings that accommodate quitting, as she has children and a high up job that she does not want to jeopardize with a bad mood.

I am interested in knowing about the ways to quit, products, foods that help, if exercise has helped you personally and such. Please no prescribed pills, as she will not tell her doctor of her vice for fear of an increase in her insurance and life insurance.

Trying to get everything finalized for my October wedding and I am down to the last couple details.

Need some suggestions on songs for our first dance, my first dance with my uncle(who is walking me down the aisle), and my other uncle.

We have a live band playing it includes a piano, drums, and guitar if that helps with any suggestions. Nothing too sappy, that's not me!

My fiance and I are considering hanging with our separate groups before, maybe dinner and drinks, but we wanted to do the big party as combined. That way it costs less and everyone can just hang out together.

My wedding is 10-2-10 and I am having trouble thinking of creative party favors for my guests. I am only looking to spend 1-2 dollars per guest, and I would like something autumnal but not to much like pumpkins and such.

I want to do something more than just candy. I want something creative. I was thinking of the mini caramel apples but I think that so many people would pitch them rather than eat them.

I have already contacted Spring Groove cemetery which is booked and I am looking for something more old and traditional rather than the new open minded churches like Crossroads. I have also spoken with Armstrong chapel but it is too small. Can not be an outside wedding because it is in October of next year and I would be too worried about the weather. Thanks in advance!
