Need party favor ideas for a fall wedding...?
My wedding is 10-2-10 and I am having trouble thinking of creative party favors for my guests. I am only looking to spend 1-2 dollars per guest, and I would like something autumnal but not to much like pumpkins and such.
I want to do something more than just candy. I want something creative. I was thinking of the mini caramel apples but I think that so many people would pitch them rather than eat them.
Thanks in advance!

I love the idea of caramel apples. There are so many creative ways that they can be decorated and they look so pretty tied in cello bags. You could attach a little thank you note to each one with your names and wedding date and then put a little saying like: Apple of my eye, or Fallen for you, something along those lines.
If you don't like the apple idea, you could do a cookie buffet with all of your favorite family recipes or fall recipes - pumpkin cookies, apple cookies, snickerdoodles, etc.

My best friend was married on October 2, 2009 and they gave carmel apples. You can buy them in bulk online. When I looked into it for my wedding, I think it was like $1.50 each.
I personally am giving small bottles of Vermont maple syrup. We have having a "destinationish" wedding in Vermont, so this is perfect for us. The lowest I have been able to find them for is $4 a piece but this is a favor that you just give 1 to each couple (and then obviously 1 per each single). This actually may fall into your budget if you do it that way.

As others have stated, the ultimate wedding ceremony favors are fit for human intake. So look to a pair of buttery shortbread or perchance oatmeal raisin cookies in a sprint field or bag. or perchance candy corn in little boxes -- or fantastically spiced blended nuts, popcorn ball. or perchance chocolate dipped pretzel stick wrapped in tulle and tied with a ribbon.

No, I love the caramel apples idea! I was going to suggest them before I even finished reading your question. Guests much prefer something they can eat, it's things like personalized coasters and candles that get tossed. I say go with it, they'll love it :)

I love your idea of caramel apples. Maybe you could try to the caramel apples but dipping them in different candies or nuts to be different and then tie a bow around them of your wedding colors!! I might want to steal that idea..... hehe.

I think favors are lame, nobody ever keeps them. Take the money you'd spend on favors and put it towards alcohol or food, something your guests will enjoy and appreciate.

I did little bottles of bubbles with a ribbon tied around them and an origami butterfly glued to them.
it's more spring time than Autumn but it's an idea.

you could fill shot classes with candy corn or the brown and orange m&ms and tie ribbons around the glass for decoration.
