Products to stop smoking?
My friend of 10+ years began smoking 3 years ago after a bitter divorce. She has decided that she needs to quit smoking for obvious reasons but is concerned with many issues that quitters face. As her friend, I am going to be her main support line and I would love to know recommendations on the methods and products that others have used to quit. She is most concerned about the mood swings that accommodate quitting, as she has children and a high up job that she does not want to jeopardize with a bad mood.
I am interested in knowing about the ways to quit, products, foods that help, if exercise has helped you personally and such. Please no prescribed pills, as she will not tell her doctor of her vice for fear of an increase in her insurance and life insurance.

Hi,
I've trying products to help me quit for about 2 years and I must say the nothing has help like the Smoke Assist. Its a mechanical cigarette that you can charge or smoke whenever you want. Its helped me a lot. Maybe it can help you. Go to this site and take a look: http://tinyurl.com/SmokeAssistforyou

I found double pneumonia to be the most effective. I was sick in bed for four days with no desire for anything but water and oxygen. Smoking was not an option. By the time I recovered I was over the worst of the addiction and decided that was it! No more. Never looked back and that was almost 28 years ago. As an alternative, there are patches and pills OTC. You can get a prescription from your doctor that helps. Whether you go 'cold turkey' like I did or get the aids, you need to do a few things that will help you succeed in in your efforts: Drink LOTS of water! That helps flush the nicotine from your body. Get physical! At first you won't have a lot of stamina, but as the tars and nicotine leave your lungs you will be able to go further, longer. Change your diet! Be careful because once your taste buds start working again you will begin enjoying the flavors of foods and could start putting on weight b/c everything tastes so good. Most importantly, have your car detailed to try to get the nicotine smoke smell off the surfaces. Wash curtains, bedding, towels, and clothing in your house and vacuum. Dump and get rid of any ashtrays. Best wishes for a long, healthy, non-wrinkled life! (smoking causes early-age facial wrinkling)

Contrary to what you here you can quit naturally without any drugs or substitute. When the smoker really wanted to quit, you have the best chance to succeed with IST.
