i have an older dog (probably 8-10 years old) & she's a shih tzu/terrier mix sometimes when she's sleeping she'll make this weird sound like high pitched hiccups or like she's whining....it's soooo weird & kind of worries me. at this point she probably sleeps more than 50% of the day so it happens a lot more than it used to. every time she does it our puppy (a 9 month old pomerainian/westie mix) goes crazy & starts barking & just flipping out in general. which of course upsets our neighbors. so why does she make this sound & how can make it stop?

i have to say i wish kevin would but i kind of doubt he will:(

i'm feeling somewhat pathetic for asking this on here but i don't know anybody personally who's living through this & i kind of feel like you need this kind of advice from someone who's experienced it or something close to it.

so my mother died a few years ago it happened quickly & shocked us all. she left behind my brother, my sister & myself. because i'm the middle child i sort of got the bulk of the responsibility of caring for the two of them as my brother has had a hard few years (losing a child & then his wife leaving) anyways my sister is 12 & going through lots of changes & i'm for lack of a better term her "fill-in-mom" & in her grade "yo mama" jokes are king. these are rough for her because they make her miss our mom a lot. or even when kids are talking about their mom's. she's pretty much struggling with the whole losing mom & going through all the changes most pre-teens/teens go through deal with. i guess what i would like to know is how i can help her. or what i can say to sort of make things a little better. i know i can't fix it but i'd like to at least help. i guess the biggest issue is i haven't begun to really deal with it myself so how can i really help anyways? i'm sorry this was so long. thank you for the help.

so i'm wanting to try something new and i've decided i'd like to try making bread...does anybody have any good bread recipes i could try? i'd really LOVE to know how to make hawaiian sweet bread specifically. thank you!

ok so i have a 2006 chevy cobalt lt it's beautiful & i love it! but...there's 2 things first of all the key gets stuck in the ignition there's a click it's supposed to make when it gets set in park & sometimes it just doesn't do it or other times it will still get stuck even when it clicks the 2nd thing is in the winter it like frosts on the inside of the windshield hardcore & i had to have it replaced because it was cracked really bad so perhaps it's the shoddy job the people did but i don't know so other cobalt owners or used to be cobalt owners did this happen for you or am i just lucky? the guy's at the shop were just laughing at me for the key thing because it doesn't happen for them....

my kitten has BAD gas! i don't know what to do! she's not aloud to eat human food & she only gets to have special kitty treats & special kitty food. it's pretty raunchy & i'd like to know if there's something i can do to prevent it or something because it's almost unbearable at times...

so we just moved & we're renting & i think the people & prob a bunch of different people from before us didn't really care for the place like they should have because there are tons of things that need lots of attention anyways there's mold in one of the cabinets & i've been looking around on the net & it's just like something different everywhere so what's the best way?

So here's the back story...

i was daddy's little girl until my parent's divorced & he basically abandoned us mostly because being a drunk & having kids is a rough situation. my mom passed away & suddenly stepped in appearing as super dad. when in fact at home i take care of everything & i don't even live with him. my mom's family has started to treat him like he's part of the family again & i gave him the benefit of the doubt but what pisses me off is that they all act like he's the best guy in the world just because he's finally taking care of his kids & i guess i'm a little mad that he's still around & my mom isn't.

here's what i need help with...i'm getting married next year & would like my dad to walk me down the aisle but i'd like to also resolve these issues. there's no hope in talking it out with him because when we're finally alone he's completely drunk. i want to feel like every bride should on her wedding day & i would like him involved but i'm just afraid i hate him...

Ok so i moved at the worse time i guess...i still haven't gotten my stimulus check & was wondering if that was something that got forwarded when you do a change of address form at the post office...i know they don't forward bank information so does that mean they wouldn't forward the stimulus check? & if not where do i go or who do i contact to change my address?

my brother & his wife are at the begining stages of divorce & as it is with all divorces it's been rough on him. she was his first girlfriend & love & he's just had a rough couple of years so i've been trying to help but i really don't know how because i've never been in that situation. i'm sure somebody out there knows something good to do so i'd love to hear some suggestions!

We got wii fit! it's fun & great! but my little sis keeps bugging me about playing together the only way we have figured out how to do that is go back & forth between our profiles which gets old after awhile is there another way to do it? the intro thing always says playing with friends is good motivation so it got me wondering is there a way to do it?

i've been a renter for a couple years & recently moved to a bigger better place that just needs a fresh coat of paint my land lord said i could paint it other colors besides white (i'm sooooo sick of white!) as long as i stayed neutral what sort of colors are considered neutral? i basically hate tans i just want some fresh color to make the place a little more homey for me.

So my fiance, brother & i just moved & we moved downtown & so we're in a busy area...my fiance's ex who is still crazy about him & she now drives past our place so often i see her at least twice a day! when we take our afternoon walks she circles the block...it's creepy & i don't know if she's crossing a line & if she is what do i do? at first i was like "well whatever if she can't find something better to do that's really sad for her" but now it really kinda freaks me out...

i'm planning my wedding for this time next year & i've decided simple but elegant is the way to go. so i've started the wedding dress hunt & i've tried on HUNDREDS of the darn things! i'm not really a romantic & i really am not into the big poofy dresses (although my aunt has made me try them on) i'm kinda cheap too since i will only be wearing it once why spend thousands? anyways i've had on dresses i kind of liked but none i wanted & i've been told "you just know" when you try it on but why the heck can't i just pick one? it's very frustrating...i know it's not a fear of not being sure about my fiance so why is this so hard?!

My friend & i are discussing dreams & i've had several of my mother who has passed on & he claims it's her trying to send me a message or simply keep in contact with me, or comfort me (i've missed her terribly lately because of mother's day, her birthday & 2 year anniversary of her death) i'm not so easily convinced so....

Can the people from the beyond come to you in your dreams or am i just creating these dreams out of missing her?

My fiance and I have wanted a dog for a long time and have thought a lot about what kind of dog we'd like but we can't pin point a few breeds. While I plan to go to the shelter I just want to know different dog temperments. Basically, we want a small dog (under 20 lbs.) and we'd like it to be friendly as it would sometimes socialize with my dad's Shitzu (Lucy.) We want a dog with shorter hair and is pretty calm because we live in an apartment. I figure dog owners know best when it comes to the actual everyday behavior of dogs. I really appreciate any input.
