  • Help making my Adobe Acrobat form interactive?

I have a form (actually an order sheet), that was created in excel and then transferred to a form using Adobe Acrobat. In a few of the sections I want to be able to make the form more interactive. For instance:

***Our customers can choose tire/wheel options. They can choose from 6 different wheels (one of which comes stock, and does not affect the base price), as well as 2 different tire options (one doesn't change the price, one does). Each wheel and tire combination has its own individual product number and price (both price and product number are in their own field). I would like a drop down menu, where they can select the wheel option. Selecting that makes another drop down menu that allows them to select the tire option. Then, (the combination of the both the wheel and tire option that they selected) will auto populate or “calculate” the correct product number and price for the options that they have selected.

***Our customers can also choose the year, which changes the some stock-components that MUST be added to the order. For instance, the year 2005 might require that we also send them a ‘58 Bolt’. In order to keep our inventory correct, we include this on the order form. I would like the order form to automatically add a quantity of “1” on items that will be required on the order in this instance.

Can anyone help me in making my form more interactive and user friendly?

  • What's the best way to learn to face paint?

I want to learn to Facepaint for my children. I'm creative, and know how to paint (they each have murals in their room), so being artistic isnt completely foreign to me.

I also invested into some Merhon Parasdise colors (in a palette, but individual colors) and brushes/sponges. I would like some sort of resources, like a blog or a book that teaches basic brushstrokes and quick designs. Unfortunately there are no classes/seminars in my area. Can anyone offer up suggestions on where I can learn to Facepaint or a book? I've also seen online facepainting classes, but I was very unsure of them.

  • Help with dramatic toddler boy behavior?

I have two children, a girl 4, boy 2. Although they were both seemingly raised the same, my daughter is very laid back, but my son (2y/o) is very very dramatic and over the top about everything. He wants attention all the time, and frequently throws tantrums, something my daughter did. I do not put up with this behavior amd want to do something before it gets worse.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have both ignored him and gotten on to him/he gets in trouble, but neither has seemed to help.

Also, unrelated, but he has gotten into the habit of putting food in his mouth and "storing" it, but then spitting it out. Anyone else experienced this??

  • What should my children call their step father?

I have two children, 2 and 4 y/o. My husband has been a part if their life before the youngest was even born (he's my best friend, but not the kids father). Their bio father is somewhat involved, we separated while I was pregnant with my youngest, but he lives out of state and sees them only a few times a year. They do not know him well, but they have been told to call him"daddy", and they do.

I want my husband to have a name, that from an outsider view, he could be their father (after all, he's always been there for them like a father). I also don't want to confuse the kids by having one "dad " and one "daddy". I don't want their bio father to feel like I'm stepping on his toes. I was thinking something like "papa" or "pop". Any other suggestions?

Also, bio father is remarried. My children currently call their stepdad "boy" (my oldest started it when she was 1) it's stuck, but my husband and I feel like that now that we are married, the name "boy" doesn't have any longevity and sounds immature.

  • Help with fall wedding colors please?

Getting married next November, outdoor ceremony, live in the South so it will still be relatively warm. I also plan on getting married at a venue where the leaves don't fall.

Initially I decided on dusty rose and gold for my two main colors but I had local florist tell me that if I wanted those colors I needed to get married in the summer because those were not fall colors. At first I was offended, now I'm questioning myself.

I do not care for red, orange or yellow at all. I like golds, brown, dusty pink and lots of foliage. It's going to be Victorian themed, so very elaborate with a tea-party type concept. Any ideas on colors that make things seem more like fall?

  • Im currently an EMT-B in Paramedic school, will becoming an EKG Tech help me in Cardiology?

I have two more weeks in the first half of my Paramedic courses. I will finish up December of this year. However, we get to take the summer off. I was considering getting my EKG (Cardiovascular) Technician certificate during the summer. The program meets twice a week and last 6-8weeks. I will also being Paramedic cardiology classes in the Fall. Would becoming an EKG Tech be helpful? (Cardiology is the most commonly failed portion of the Paramedic National Exam)

Also, would it be helpful to have this certification later as a Paramedic? Would it be helpful to have the certification if I decided to become an RN? or just work as a Tech in the ER?

  • Christmas gift exchange, small family, low budget?

Looking for ideas for gift exchange, NOT secret santa or white elephant.

Family is relative small, 8 people, but ALL our gifts come from one another (we receive nothing from other family members). Ages range from 1-45, and is essentially two families (2 sets of parents, both with 2-3 children each).

The problem that we are facing is being able to stay in our budget, still being able to get what everyone wants, and everything still being more-or-less a surprise. (Someone writing down exactly what they want, and giving it to one person for them to buy is not an option)

  • How do you celebrate Hanukkah?

The first day of the the "festival of lights" begins this evening, and I really want to teach my children about it in a very hands-on way. I studied Judaism in school, so I (believe) that I have a pretty good grasp on what the holiday represents, but I would like more information about how to celebrate it, in a way that my children can appreciate it.

I try to keep my children as well-rounded as possible, so I have no desire for anyone to post any rude/derogatory or other narrow-mided responses. Please only post honest, serious replies. :)

  • Go to the hospital AGAIN?

Second baby, no complications with this pregnancy or the last. Steady contractions since Sunday at 9am, (5 mins apart, 1- 1.5 mins in length) and increasing intensity, yet they have not dropped me to my knees in pain. Was dilated to a 1 on Sunday, and 50% effaced, as of 5pm this afternoon, dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced. Went to the hospital today because I thought my eater broke. I had gone to the bathroom at home, then sat down in a chai and had a small leak. Went back to the bathroom to make sure I hadn't had an 'accident'. Walked out of the bathroom and had a large gush down my legs. Walked downstairs and had another, and then some trickles. Changed clothes and went to the hospital and managed to soak my panties on the way there. Contractions increased, but not too much, could have been stress. Saw the doctor about 5 hours after I thought I broke my water. I had gone to the bathroom several times and stood up during my contractions and lost even more fluid. Doctors vaginal exam tested negative for amniotic fluid. Still leaking, although it has decreased in intensity (no more large gushes). Contractions have also increased in intensity, are more in my back, although they still don't bring me to my knees in pain.

Has anyone else ever had this happen? What did you do? Worth getting a second opinion?

  • What type of machine would be best for sewing through nylon webbing?

I know that you would need a heavy duty needle, like a 16 or 18 denim needle. How much will the machine matter?

I have a very nice Brother machine (however, I left it in the U.S.), so I need to purchase another, what would be the best? The most heavy-duty items I will be sewing are nylon dog collars, other sewing will be simply through satin fabric and velcro. Any suggestions on a type of machine? I don't want to spend too much.

    Thank you :)

  • What is millitary housing like in Vilseck, Bavaria, Germany?

Is the housing similar to U.S. housing? I have been to Europe several times, prior to the military. So is the housing like a house, or more similar to the a flat or an apartment? I have heard that the base is not seperate from the town, is this true?

Also, what is it like to put your dog into quarentine? how long do they have to be in there? are you allowed to visit them?
