My friend has a Sony Vaio VGN-NS190J and it turns off at random intervals. If I turn it on it may last half an hour then turn off. Then I turn it on and it lasts for only one minute. There is no difference with the AC adapter plugged in. The AC adapter is working and the battery is working fine too. After running a quick diagnostic check, both the hard drive and the CPU are working fine. I doubt it being a software problem, but it can be. What can I do to fix this laptop???? Thanks in advance.

I need help with a laptop I want to build... I want to purchase an i7, i3, or i5 processor,but I don't know where to buy a motherboard that will support it. I not only want a motherboard that supports it, but one that has a video card. If there isn't any, then anything with core 2 duo that still has the video card. I want to be sure that it has the video card and still supports a new or better processor. If you could then could you tell me of any other processor that is almost as good as i7, or if you could find a motherboard that supports i7 quad core... the socket type is 988. Could you please find me one that has a socket type of 988 and a video card?????? Thanks in advance.

I have knowledge of programming, but not in the iphone field. I only know the python programming language and html. I want to know where is a good starting point for learning how to program for the iphone. I don't know anything in this field. so could you state a good book or such. I know there is a lot of things to learn. I know it won't be easy but is there a good starting book or books. I am young and want to know a book that wont go too technical on me. HELP!

my dell inspiron 1525 laptop battery indicator keeps blinking orange four times then blue. It is a new battery i received today. The old one died. In bios settings it says the battery is running normal. When i boot windows vista and check my battery status it says, "plugged in, not charging". The amount of charge is 0%. The battery is not hot or cold and I disconnected it for ten minutes.I can't update the bios, because the charge is under 10%. What should I do? The laptop works perfectly fine with the AC adapter connected.

I forgot how to add to the end of a text file. If I use the write() method it erases everything in the text file and writes the new one. I heard you can use the append method(), but I keep getting an error saying: AttributeError: 'file' object has no attribute 'append'. I want to keep everything in the text file and add more, How do I do it?

My brother gave me his ruined dell laptop. It boots up but wont go past loading screen. the green bricks just keep going around again and again. I am not able to go to safe mode. My dad says he knows how to fix it, but he is very busy and wont be able to fix it in a long time. My dad and brother said it is a hard drive problem. Can you tell me how to fix it?

I want to know how to make a solar or wind propelled generator? First if i can make a solar and wind propelled generator and combine them to work at the same time. I made this document for my dad but it is 978 megabytes and Microsoft word 2003 only supports up to 32 megabytes. Is there a document viewer that can open doc files that is at least 1 gigabyte. NOT MICOSOFT WORD.
