  • Poll for girls: Do you think it's weird that I think it's attractive when a girl doesn't shave? (I'm a guy)?

Push all biases and ideas on hygiene to the side, but I'm in the minority of guys who actually don't mind if a girl doesn't shave. Don't be mistaken, I don't label myself a feminist, but i do find it attractive when a girl has enough self-confidence to go against what society expects.

Not to mention, having hairy legs and arms doesn't look bad on a girl at all despite what a lot of people say. I've met a lot of girls who are beautiful inside and out who don't shave. I think if girls put up with hairy men, men should do the same. However, nowadays there's a lot of women out there who find hairy men unattractive so maybe its time men wax, or women stop shaving. lol what are your thoughts?

  • Have you ever had a friend change in a bad way?

I do understand people changing is a natural part of life, but seeing a good friend make really bad choices is heartbreaking.

In the last year one of my good friends Key (thats his name don't judge) started dating this girl at my job. a few months later they broke up and the girl told everyone at my job that he was abusive and gaslighted her. Sadly many people at my job believed her, but me and my friend steve knew Key well enough to know that wasn't true.

Unfortunately Key ghosted everyone at my job for a year until recently he called me and steve to hang out. We were initially thrilled, but we found out that our friend Key had gotten into heavy drugs and became a much meaner person. for half an hr he literally roasted everyone out our job saying things like "everyone at ur job is trash" ostracizing each person.

I have no idea what went down, but it's sad to see someone who was once a good friend turn mean spirited. I will keep him in my prayers. any advice?

  • Do you think it's bad when college professors push their politics onto their students??

I realize things like this are inevitable, and even common but I was wondering what you're opinion is on professors who use their platform to push a narrative or agenda. This very common especially in liberal arts (I'm a psych major so i know).

Personally, I think professors can have their own opinions on things because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i think students who disagree would be allowed to have their opinions too. For example, my friend had a political science class who had  professor who was very anti-trump and any pro-trump remarks were prohibited. Although many would agree, if pro-trump comments are prohibited shouldn't anti-trump remarks be prohibited too.

Sadly, I understand these things happen naturally and life is unfair sometimes, but I too get really tired of professors who push their politics onto students. Ive seen even more outrageous things on the news. What are your thoughts?

  • Which Ivy League school is the most difficult?

Disclaimer: I’m not talking about acceptance rates.

I’m asking which Ivy League school do you think has the most difficult academic curriculum. Oddly enough, many may think MIT is harder than all 8, but if I were an Ivy student give me ur opinion.

  • Is it weird that I like to watch Tucker Carlson as a liberal?

Before I get funny answers I understand Tucker Carlson is more right leaning that left leaning. However, I used to despise Tucker a long time ago for some of the things he says, but I realized most stuff on the media is silly anyways. Its just media culture.

The more I've watched Tucker Carlson, Ive realized he really Isn't as bad a I thought. In fact, I actually agree with a lot of his criticisms of radical left movements despite being a liberal myself. Does anyone else feel the same??

  • Have you ever had to cut off a loser friend?

As condescending as this question seems, let me explain.

So I recently ran into this old middle school friend I knew back in middle school who used to be in breakdancing with me. This was in 2008-2010, so we're both 25 now.

We were thrilled to see each other again and began hanging out. However, I began to notice he was kind of a loser and stuck in an immature high school phase.

When we first started hanging out, he would talk about all of the drugs he liked to take and actually filmed himself doing them. He would make me watch for over an hr. He would also brag about all the women he's slept with which is something I never admired even in high school. On top of that, he would also talk about himself and his achievements ( sex, drugs, video games, etc.) for hrs, and he wouldn't let me talk about myself for even 5 minutes.

One day while we were hanging out he decided to take me on a tour through Rice University. Apparently he had three girlfriends there, and he would show me all the areas where he either made out with a girl or slept with one. The kind of thing you would see in an "American Pie film".

The final straw for me was when he invited me over to his house to tell me his future goals. He wants to create a podcast, move to Japan, and live off of the money he makes from the podcast. He has a huge fetish for japanese women, so he plans on pumping and dumping over there.

Honestly, as a 25 yr old, I feel like i'm too old for friends like this. Your thoughts?

  • Are there any Harvard Extension School Alumni out there??

Currently I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Psychology at the Harvard Extension School. I know most of the programs are Liberal arts, so I was wondering if there are any Harvard Extension Alumni, and what were your thoughts on the school.

I began this past year (Fall 2020), and when I first discovered the Extension School I didn't think it was real, and just selling courses under the Harvard Name. As I did research I discovered Harvard Extension is actually one of the 13 degree granting schools, and being a student of the school grants access to many privileges of Harvard students (including an ID, and the right to attend commencement)

Later on in my Harvard Journey I also met two other Harvard alumni (one from Harvard College and the Other from Extension) at a coffee shop and discovered that Harvard Extension School is legit. In fact, many of the courses are Harvard Courses and being a grad student your being held to a much higher standard compared to your undergrad counterparts (no surprise there). If you do well in the courses (B or higher, NO "B-'s") you are admitted to the degree program.Did you think the degree was difficult? Did you like the students? Did it feel like Harvard? were you ever stigmatized for being an extension student?

  • Does anyone still play the original Crash bandicoot games for PS1?

Personally, I'm a die hard Spyro fan, but one game that was always advertised on the spyro manuals was Crash Bandicoot.

Sadly, I got my ps1 in 2001 when ps1 games were becoming obsolete, so i never got to play crash bandicoot as a 4 year old, but I later found the games at half price bookstore in 2007 as a 10 yr old.

As a kid, I was INLOVE with Spyro the Dragon, but i never found Crash Bandicoot to be as fun (except for Crash 3 warped). However, I recently re-played the original trilogy for ps1 this past year after 100%ing the n.sane trilogy for ps4.

For some reason, all three games were ALOT more fun than I remembered them being despite not being too thrilled with them as a kid. To this day, I still love playing Crash and Spyro.

Does anyone else still play Crash Bandicoot, and has your perspective every changed dramatically with a video game due to maturity?

  • Does it make me douchey if I don't tell people about my personal goals?

If there's on thing I've learned about trying to succeed in life, there are two types of people mainly. People who want to build you up, and people who want to break you down. Sadly when aiming high, most people want to break you down and thats true for everyone. But one thing that most successful people have taught me, is that who you surround yourself with matters.

Ive always taken the approach to chasing after your goals no matter what people tell you. For example, when I was in High school i didn't care about academics very much so people told me I would get nowhere in life. However, as I got older I starting discovering my own passions and now I'm a Grad student at Harvard. Nobody would've seen that coming.

Every time I meet someone successful in life, they have a few attributes in common. 1). they never give up no matter the odds, 2.) they've always had to overcome adversity, 3.) They always networked with at least a few people to help them get where they are.

As i've gotten older (Now 25), ive realized its a waste of time to tell people your goals in life if they're just going to stomp on them. Plus, most people don't know what they're talking about anyways. Now a days, i just go after my goals myself and see how far I get, and if I fail I fail forward. I only befriend people who want to see me succeed and lift me up and actually have experience. Sadly, those diamonds are far and few between, but they're the most important. Does anyone else follow this approach?

  • Which Ivy League School has the prettiest campus?

Any Ivy alumni can answer, but for anyone that has attended more than one ivy league school, or seen more than one campus I'm really curious to know which school you thought had the prettiest campus.

  • What was it like being an Ivy League student in the 90's? (All Ivy Alumni are welcome to answer)?

I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Psychology at the Harvard Extension School (not to get mixed up with Harvard College or The Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences) and I ran into some alumni at a coffee shop in Houston.

They noticed my Harvard Jacket and told me they went to Harvard back in the 90's early 2000's. I was thrilled because I've always wanted to know if getting into the Ivies was harder back then than it is today so I asked them a bunch of questions. They both told me "no", in fact, one of them went back to Harvard for their master's a re-graduated in 2018, and told me college was harder now in comparison. Could be for various reasons (e.g. higher tuition, more competition etc.)

I guess as someone who has used technology in school for so many years, its easy for me to imagine college being a lot harder in the 90's, but nobody has told me that was the case. I suppose any Alumni (60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's) can answer, but I was wondering if anyone thinks Ivy league schools were harder back then???

  • Harvard Asian Admission Bias?

Beginning in 2014 Harvard was accused of being biased against asians when admitting students. The case lost sometime in 2020.

However, it was never clear if it was just Harvard College (undergrad) that had this bias when admitting students or if it was the entire Harvard University (All 13 schools)? The reason I ask this is because I have a friend who is Asian who recently got admitted to Harvard Medical School, but technically thats a grad school. So if anyone who knows more details can tell me that would be great.

  • Is it weird for a guy to buy men s cologne from a women s store if it s a lot cheaper?

One of my favorite colognes is "Dolce & Gabbana light blue", and i wanted to buy it in the 6.7 (200ml) value size. However i realized most stores and websites, including the official website doesn t sell it in that size anymore. I found it on "Sephora" website though for a hell lot cheaper than the few stores i found it in. Would it be weird for me to buy men s cologne from a website that sells women s makeup if they have a much better deal???

If you live in Canada you may have a channel called the "Family channel" and recently they released a new TV show called "Raising expectations" with many cast members from "Degrassi" as well as "Molly Ringwald" and "Jason Priestley". If you live in Canada, have you ever seen this TV show? If so, what is it like because it's not available in the US.

  • Poll for people who live in Canada: Have you ever seen the show called "Raising Expectations".?

If you live in Canada, most of you guys have probably heard of the family channel or a show called "Degrassi". Although Degrassi is also in the US, a lot of the cast from Degrassi is also on a new show on the family channel known as "Raising Expectations" which is unavailable for people like me which live in the US. If you live in Canada, have u ever heard of the show. If so, is it any good?

Even though the show is aimed for young children, I did grow up with Degrassi, so I was just curious if this show with the same actors is any good.

  • Are there any books that attempt to prove the other religions or their holy books?

During my spiritual journey i have crossed many books that attempt to prove or make sense out of christianity. Two of those books include "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis and "The case for christ" by Lee strobel. I was always curious to see if there were books that proves or attempts to prove any other religion other than christianity.
