  • Are my colleagues flirting?

    1) The accounts room is a small narrow enclosure at the end of our office. just enough for 1 person to walk through. I was standing at the near side of the long desk with the accounts clerk whos seated at the far side. My lunch partner came in and w/o warning or saying excuse me just squeezed past me to take her seat at the near side of the desk. Her butt brushing hard against my dick in the process. She was nonchalent about the whole thing whilst I was a bit surprised.

    2) I was at a construction site with a female colleague supervising the installation of 1 of our products. We were both looking down the parapet where the thing is being installed. Behind us were scaffolds. When she wanted to leave the area, w/o warning or saying excuse me she just squeezed herself out. her butt sliding against mine in the process.

I have my doubts these incidents are accidents! Could definitely be averted by a simple excuse me!

  • What is compatibility?

I was sharing with a mate about how 1 girl who was so alike to me left me to join a convent after she heard God's call. Her tastes, worldview, liking intellectual discourse on the hard questions etc.

He said, no. If a person is too alike then theres gonna be problems. There must be some differences, only then a relationship can work. He's not the 1st 1 saying that cos another guy said similar things. The more differences the better. My mom said opposites attract. Alike repels.

So what is actually compatibility? I would think the more alike, then the more compatible, less things to argue, more things to agree on etc?? The more differences to me means more scope to disagree, & the more opposite you are, the more problematic it would be??

  • Is my colleague trying to make a move on me?

The colleague whom i work closest with returned from holiday & got me a gift which she said was "For you & your mom"

Im new & only been working with her for 4 months. We do get along great overall both workwise & personally. She has never met my mom & ive very seldom talked abt my mom to her. Other than that shes now living alone after dad very sadly left us 2 years ago after succombing to his health issues. And that i go see & be with my mom every weekend.

The only other person who has done similar even before meeting my mom was my gf at the time....she bought some chocs as a xmas gifts for my mom before we were even official. Just like that out of the blue when we have known each other for abt 4 months also.

  • Do messages saying youve arrived afely mean a lot to girls/women?

Was out with a female colleague for an out station work trip. When we returned, just before we parted ways at the airport i was kinda surprised she suddenly asked me to message her once i reached home so that she knows i got home safely after a long trip. I mean, c'mon! my house is just a 10 miles cab ride from the airport! lol Anyway, i did so, & she was happy.

Couple of weeks later I told her i was going on a weekend bike trip with a riding mate & that I wld message once I got back. She reponded with a big YES followed by a big smile.

From then on, ive always been messaging her as such. Shes seems happy so far! lol

  • Inline 4 more economical than a L twin?

    I ride a s1krr. Last weekend a mate who rides a pani 899 & i went out on a weekend trip.

He rode in 6th gear at max 6k revs. I rode in 3rd -5th gear, keeping the revs between 8-10k revs vast majority of the time

When it was time for fuel stop, we filled up about the same amount of petrol. I would have thought my higher rev riding & larger cc would consume more petrol?? Or are bmw engines running leaner in general?

  • What actually is this feature & how does it work?

Its the 1st time im seeing such things & am very intrigued by it.

Was in my boss's BMW & everytime the car comes to a stop the engine would die off, but when its time to move off, it would automatically start up again. I dont know what she (boss) does....maybe release the brake pedal or something & it wld just fire up on its own. But apparently you can disable this function by pressing a button near the ignition.

Is it some fuel saver or emissions thing or a euro 4/5 requirement??

  • Whats with this type of smile?

I noticed some girls like to do this. Their eyes would be smiling, but their lips will have a slight pucker as if sucking on a sweet.

Is is supposed to be flirty/sexy or is it a half hearted attempt to blow a kiss?

But overall I think it looks pretty juvenile especially if done by grown women!

  • Does this mean anything?

Was at a gathering & was pleasantly surprised bumped into a former school crush (female).

Naturally we were thrilled to see each other again. At least for me, memories & old feelings started resurfacing.

At one point i was standing next to her talking. Then her friend came over to join in the conversation. She introduced me to her friend & placed her hand on my upper arm & left it there. I reciprocated by instinctively putting my hand onto her upper back. When I did that she immediately put her hand on my upper back. She did not let go until i removed my hand from her back.

Is there any reason why she would want to change her hand position to another place? Is there any different meaning betn a touch on the upper arm & upper back?

  • Do crushes ever die?

When I was still in pre u half a lifetime ago, there was this girl who had a crush on me. She asked abt me from 1 of her friends who was also classmate & later approached me to introduce herself. Over time I too gradually took a liking towards her. But being shy & naive I didnt do anything abt it. I was also embaressed by the constant teasing and egging on by a few of our classmates. So I kept denying & suppressing everything I felt about her. Then came A'levels & everyone dispersed. The whole saga just abruptly stopped.

The next time I met her was when I was in uni. The pre u gang decided to organise a gathering & she turned up with her new bf. I was disappointed. But I just let the matter rest. & probably forgot everything about her after that.

Now fast forward to present day. I was at a gathering. Suddenly I turned my head & saw a woman whom I thought had an uncanny resemblance to her. But I just brushed it aside. But soon that woman approached me & asked if I was from that pre u college. It WAS her!

Upon later reflection, it seemed we were interacting more like crushing teenagers rather then matured adults! Its like continuing where we left off.. I havent dated last 5 years. Apparently she's still available. We plan to meet up when our schedules permit to catch up.

I thought crushes were short term things. It appears like the old feelings didnt really die. Just got buried deep down only to resurface later for the both of us.

  • What is 520 & whats so special abt it?

So my bike comes with 520 stock. Does it refer to stuff abt the chain only or it refers to chain + sprocket ratio set? Im inclined to think its the chain only.

Ive also seen 520 conversion sets for various bikes while browsing online. Whats so significant abt it that you'd want to convert from say a stock fireblade type to a 520?

There seems to be much more 520 conversion kits available compared to other apparently. Some people even say that 520's the best. Why?

  • Is my colleague flirting?

My colleague likes to come very close to me whenever we discuss stuff.. On 2 occassions I can be holding a document or a sketch up with my left hand & she while standing on my left will rest her wrist on mine if she wants to point to something. As she gesticulates she wld brush my right hand fingers or thumb in the process. On that 2nd occassion, there was a guy who was also in the discussion & as he spoke she just left her wrist on mine as we listened to him.

  • When a girl looks at you thro the corner of her eyes?

    1) This sweet girl comes from a dirn perpendicular to me. When she reaches me she tilts her head away from me & looks at me thro the corner of her eyes & mimes a "hi", smiles & walks away.

2)I went to a desk next to a female colleague to chk out some files from the pc there. I also asked her to chk someting out from her pc. After she had told me the info i needed, i turned the chair to her dirn to get out & said thks. She tilted er head away & looks at me thro the corner of her eyes, smiling & whispers "welcome".

    3) The provision shop which im a regular customer, I greeted the assistant as she walks perpendicularly in my dirn. She looks at me thro the corner of her eyes & smiled & walks away.

Is this kind of look an indicator of interest??? I dunno....cos it does look a little flirtatious or "naughty" to me!

  • Can different coolant brands be mixed?

Before my full sevice i had Ipone radiator fluid in the radiator & my reservoir. A blue ethylene glycol fluid. I also bought an extra canister from the workshop for topping up purposes should the need arise. I still have abt 800ml left at home.

Just recently i went for my full service. The mech flushed the radiator & put in another coolant brand cos he ran out of Ipone. I only know that this new coolant is also a blue ethylene glycol fluid.

So my question is can i top up with my Ipone coolant should the need arise? Or do I have to go back & buy a cannister of the current coolant?

  • The rugby team's kicker?

Ive been following rugby union since the late 80s. Ive noticed on televised matches over the years, the team's kicker more often then not is either the flyhalf or the fullback.

Is there a tactical reason for this or is it the case that players in those positions are usually the best kickers in the team?

But I do remember 1 odd case where the kicker was a 2nd row. Cant remember the name, but he was a wallaby.

  • clutch problem or time to change oil?

I had my clutch changed abt 1.5 yrs ago cos I was everynow & again getting stuck in 2nd gear during upshifts. Takes some clutch pumping or downshifting back down to 1st & try again to get to 3rd. It wld also be jammed when stationary. So cant get to neutral unless i roll the bike forwards & kick up to neutral. Mech said its due to clutch plates stuck & promptly changed it.

So all has been well during this time. But i noticed it will get erratic every 3 months after changing oil. That means every abt 3000km or so. Even tho the product brochure says its good for 12000km. But after every oil change things get good again.

Now its over 3.5 months since my last oil change. Im using an ester synthetic. & it is starting to get erratic. No problems getting neutral but im sometimes getting stuck in 2nd or 3rd gears. Other times maybe you can kick up, but it doesnt fully engage.

Not sure if its old oil, clutch plates stuck (again) or the colder night cos it rained the whole afternoon, so oil not fully warmed up.

  • touring with a 2 stroker?

I have a liquid cooled 2 stroker.. Redline starts at 11k revs. I top up 1 litre of 2t after about 40-45 litres of petrol.

I was told in school during the topic of engines that 2 strokers are sprinters whilst 4 strokers are endurance runners. Hence a 2 stroker can never match the range of a 4 stroker when travelling long distances. You always have to make a 'pitstop' so that the engine can rest a bit.

Am planning to join a few friends on a 200+ km ride next mth. So how far can I go at sustained 7-8k revs before the bike needs a rest?

Or does it help matters if i add a capful or 2 of 2t into the fuel tank, over & above my 2t pump provision just to ensure extra lubrication?

Sorry if its a dumb question.

  • 2 stroke pump questions?

Been trying to understand more abt how 2t pumps work. An article said that a pump typically functions by injecting a lean oil dosage between 1:80 to 1:120 at idling speed and goes up to abt 1:20 at abt max revs. This would suggest to me that with a pump, the oil is a variable feed as opposed to premix where the dosage is fixed, say 1:50 etc (correct me if im wrong).

    1) Does this mean then, that there is no real way to tell just how much oil the bike is consuming per litre? With premix we know the figure. Or do we calculate out some average figure...for eg, after abt 50l of petrol, I need to top up 1l of oil. Hence my consumption is abt 1:50?

    2) Given that oil consumption is governed by how much throttle input we give, hence, lets say 20 laps going all out on track (abt 50+ km total) would consume lots more oil then if we cover the same distance in busy urban conditions in low to moderate revs. Correct?

3)When people tweak their pump cable settings for richer or leaner oil feeds, what are they actually tuning it to? - Idling speed or max revs? My mech commented my bike was too smokey so he tweaked it down & said this is abt 1:80. Is he refering to the approx dosage at idle speed?
