  • What do they call a bathroom/restroom in Australia?

My daughter is friends with a little girl from Australia (she's also lived in New Zealand). When she came to our house to play we asked her in a few different ways if she needed to use the bathroom/restroom/potty. We even tried 'lou'. So what should we have asked her? What's the correct terminology?

    Thanks! :)

  • Help re: my dog's dry skin...?

My mini schnauzer has really bad dry skin; it flakes a lot, and she scratches a lot. The vet took skin samples and it's not a fungal problem or bacterial and they gave us medicated shampoo (which we've been using). We've started giving her brewers yeast tabs and Omega 3's, but she's still having a problem. It's not allergies because they gave us doggie Benedryl, and she still itched.

Help! I would love any advice about what to do for my dog's dry skin. We live in a dry climate and I hate to bathe her so much, but she really smells after a week, too.

    Anyway, thanks! :::)))

  • Other uses for a Banana Hanger??

OK, this is NOT sexual, but we have a banana hanger (looks like a hook on a stand, helps bananas ripen, but not get mushy), and don't use it. Anyone have any other ideas on what I could hang on there or use it for?

    Thanks bunches!

  • Help with my 11-year-old daughter...?

My daughter is a very pretty redhead, smart and social, but today, not for the first time, I saw her "snub" one of best friends. She has stopped being friendly to a lot of kids in school, and now has only one best friend (and one sort-of back up). When I try to discuss this with her ("you might want to branch out, esp. going into middle school"), she brushes it off. I know that she can be shy(which can look like conceit), but if we're out someplace and she sees someone she's known for years, she ignores them, or gives them that weird snobby half smile. What is up with that?? BTW, her favorite movie is Mean Girls (I know, I should be worried).

My hubby and I aren't snobby, we have all types of friends, and were raised to like all kinds of people. We're both a little shy ourselves.

Anyway, I could use some advice on how to deal with this, if this is normal, if I should lock her in her room until her 20's, or ???

    Thanks bunches! :)

  • Which airport should I fly into?

We're going to NJ and NY(with two kids) and were wondering which airport is cleaner, friendlier, easier to navigate, better security line, etc.

Any info about Kennedy, Newark, La Guardia would be appreciated! :)

  • What do I do with my contacts?

My prescription changed, so I bought new contacts. But now I have two boxes of the old ones, just sitting here (they expire in 2010). I would love some suggestions as what I can do with them. I can't Ebay, Craigslist or Freecycle them, as none of those groups will allow you to offer anything that requires a prescription, even for free.

    Thanks for the help! :)

Could it be Dolly Parton? If so, what's the name of the song? I actually kind of like it...

  • Why don't you flush??

Okay, so I'm in Walmart today (which I hate, but it's the only local place that sells fishing stuff, and we were going fishing for Father's Day). I went to the bathroom, and all the toilets were unflushed. Some still had the toilet seat covers on them. Why???? If you don't want to touch the handle, use your foot...

And it's not just at Walmart, it's many different places. Is there some kind of Moron gene, inhibiting these bathroom-goers from doing the right, courteous, and hygienic thing?

Anyway, I'd love to read any opinions on why this happens, and who I can blame. (Hey, it makes me feel better)

    Thanks! :)
