I just got a new puppy, my adult dog doesn't get along with her...?
About a month ago I rescued a 4 year old male mix breed dog, he seems to be great with people and other dogs and is a really great fit for my lifestyle. A few days ago my boyfriend decided to buy a German Shepard 6 month old female dog, I thought for sure they'd enjoy each others company, but he doesn't seem to like her. He avoids playing with her and today he even seemed aggressive toward her to the point where I thought he was going to hurt her. She is a typical young dog, always curious and energetic, and following him around everywhere. He seems so distant since she has been here, always sleeping and hanging out in his crate.... Is this normal when bringing a new dog into the picture, do you think he could just be jealous and will get over it?
1 AnswerDogs8 years agoDoes anyone have any detailed info on a Sepsis infection?
I have a human bio essay about how the systems of the body work together, but I decided to go out on a limb and write what happen when infections set in and the systems cant work together. I choose a Sepsis infection, and I need to use 3 systems of the body in great detail about how they are connected....
So Obviously my #1 system would be circulatory, because Sepsis is a blood infection, then I was thinking the urinary system because the kidneys could shut down, but what other system should I use?
This isn't a major paper, or even one that I have to spend days writing, but it's just one that we write in class and can bring a note card,
So any detail on Sepsis would be great, and What other system do you think I should use as a primary system???

9 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoDo you think the weird weather on the US coasts are related to global warming?
So as everyone has heard, CA got major rain fall, something that is more usual for OR or WA the northern west coast states, but also last winter Washington DC, and the mid and lower east coast got way more snow than usual, while places like CT fell below avg for snow fall. I don't know much about global warming, but is this occurrence part of it, and how does it work?
14 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoI need chemistry help..... Percentage equations?
-Limestone samples are mainly calcium carbonate. When a .750g limestone is dissolved in hydrochloric acid, 165 mL of carbon dioxide gas is evolved at STP. What is the percentage of calcium carbonate in the limestone? the equation for the reaction is
CaCO3+ 2HCl ----- CaCl2 +H2O+CO2
- What is the minimum STP voulme of hydrogen sulfide gas required to precipitate 0.555g of bithmuth sulfide? the equation is
2Bi(NO3)3 + 3H2S------ Bi2S3+6HNO3
-The insecticide lindane, C6H6Cl6 is prepared from benzene and chlorine gas in the presence of ultraviolet light. if 150mL of chlorine gas at STP is reacted with 150mg of benzene, C6H6 , what is the mass of the lindane produced? the equation is,
C6H6+ 3Cl2--- C6H6Cl6
Ok so I am completely lost... If someone can help me figure out these equations step by step that would be great...

-The Stannous fluoride in a 10.000g sample of toothpaste was extracted and then precipitated with lanthanum nitrate solution. If the mass of the precipitate is 0.105g, what is the percentage of stannous fluoride in the toothpaste sample??

Apparently I have fallen off the chemistry band wagon, because the first half of the semester I was doing great, but I must have fallen behind somewhere and now I am so confused...
So if you can explain how to get the answers step by step, or even "dumb it down" a little that would be great. :)

3 AnswersSociology1 decade agoI think I have a bug problem, but I don't know what kind of bugs...?
I have been noticing red, itchy bites all over me for the past week now... I probably have at least 10 bug bites right now. I have a dog, so at first I thought fleas, but my dog is on frontline, and doesn't itch excessively, or anything out of the ordinary. Plus I don't visually see any fleas...
So then I thought bed bugs, I inspected my bed and box spring, and I don't see any signs, I put double stick tape around the creases to see if I could catch any, but still nothing...
I am getting desperate for answers, if anyone could tell me what other kinds of bugs to look for, or any safe insect bombs, that would be great... What do I do next...
