  • Is Public Storage pay by calendar month or by 30 days?

At Public Storage, do you pay by calendar month (pay for July whenever you move in during July) or by a set time period (pay for every 30 days or something)?

I'm just wondering because if I moved some stuff in on July 14, and moved it out August 12 or so, would I pay for July & August, or just 1 30-day period?

  • C++: Circular Functions?

I'm writing a program where function A uses function B, and function B uses function A. Whenever, I go to compile it, the compiler doesn't like the order of the function definitions. Is there an easy way to solve this? Thanks.

  • Finding men's jeans with large thighs?

I wear 38x32 jeans, and I have a few that fit well. However, they are quite old and starting to wear down. I recently went to Kohl's and tried on Lee's, Levi's and Urban Pipeline's Jeans (In Loose Straight, Loose Boot Cut, etc.). Most of these fit my waist and length of legs, but not in my thighs. I have pretty muscular thighs & calves, which is my big issue when buying clothes.

I'm just wondering what are good brands that have room in the thighs, but are not too big in the waist. Also, I don't like to spend that much on clothes, so more inexpensive brands would be appreciated (<$75 or so).

  • Which sentence is correct? (Help with gerunds)?

I know about gerunds, but I recently reached a disagreement.

Which of the following is correct?

"You saw me washing my hands."

"You saw my washing of my hands."

"You saw my washing my hands."

I'm talking about English rules, I don't care for common language. I know what people say, but I would like to know what English grammar rules dictate.

  • What does SCN stand for?

On an AC Adapter, what does SCN stand for?

Also, I have two adapters that are nearly the same, but their SCN's are only one number off (one is SCN-0604 and the other is SCN-0605). What is the difference between these two numbers? Could the adapters be used interchangeably?

  • What is the best wah pedal for guitar?

I play jazz a lot, but there are times when I'll play 70's style funk where a wah-wah effect would be beneficial. I've been looking around for wah pedals, but I have narrowed it down a bit.

I'm not looking for an extravagant pedal, but a high quality one would be good.

I've been looking at the Ibanez Weeping Demon pedal or the Dunlop Crybaby 535Q pedal.

Which would you recommend as a general pedal?

  • What to do about a rattling Steinway?

I have a 1913 Steinway studio grand piano, and recently, it seems like something is rattling inside of it. It seems to be coming from inside the right part of the keyboard.

I took a flashlight and made sure there were no objects between the keys and checked the screws in close proximity, but nothing helped.

Also, we had the piano fixed up a while ago, so it has been in good quality since then.

  • How do colleges take into account visits?

I am applying for schools soon, and my parents' friends have said that some colleges automatically reject you if you don't visit the school. Is this true?

If so, how heavily do colleges weigh your visit?

Because I don't think I want to visit any colleges...

  • What is a good microphone for a high school student?

I am going to be a high school senior and I play piano and sing musical theater songs. I would like to record songs for some people. This probably wouldn't be super complicated, as I play piano while singing so there wouldn't be any layering (possibly).

I'm just wondering what a good microphone would be for my situation. I want it to be good enough that people would not be turned off by the quality but definitely not a professional setup.

  • Which score is better to send to colleges?

I'm thinking about applying to some top-notch colleges and I have taken both the ACT and the SAT. I'm not sure which one would be better to send to colleges because most places accept both tests.

    Here are my scores:

    ACT: 34

    English: 35, Math: 36, Reading: 30, Science: 36, Essay: 9

    SAT: 2140

    Reading: 640, Math: 800, Writing: 700

So, which test (ACT or SAT) is more impressive?

Also, I got 800's on the SAT II subject tests of Math Level 2 and Physics.

Like you know those pictures you get that are wallet sized or something (2 by 4 maybe?)? I am wondering if there is a large frame thing you can get where you just slide in people's pictures?

    Just wondering though!

  • Where is the best place to sell a chinchilla?

I have 2 chinchillas that are about 4 years old and my family does not want them anymore because the kids are going off to college.

We would like to sell them, but I don't know where we would sell them. Also, we want it to be reliable so that a coat maker doesn't buy them to make furs out of them.

  • Is there a major that encompasses music and mathematics?

I am a junior in high school and I am very interested in both Math/Science (emphasis on math) and Music. One of my friends had told me that some colleges have a "Music and Math Engineering" major, not just a double major in music and math.

Is this a real major? If so, what are some colleges at which it is offered?

  • What type of guitar amplifier should I use for playing jazz?

I have a Schecter Gryphon Diamond Series guitar and I'm playing in a big band with about 20 other people.

I think that I should use a 25 or 30 watt amp, but I'm not sure exactly which kind I should buy. I'm hoping that I could spend about 200 - 300 dollars, but I'd be willing to spend a little bit more...

What brand/style of amp should I buy?
