Celebrities or anyone with name recognition usually don't want to change that name and loose that recognition. I have a solution. Also, It MOSTLY has been a male dominated world and the women took the name of the man. Aren't men and women equal(don't ask me this 20 years ago)?

What if women didn't change their last name when they were married and the last name of their children was a conjunction of the parents names in alphabetical order, so no preference was given to males or females. When children with those hyphenated names had children the males would use the fathers names and females use the mothers.
