  • How are pants hemmed?

Normally I get my pants hemmed at a dry cleaner or the place I bought my pants from. But how do they do it? Its bothering me because when I look at my pant leg, I see that its been sewn, but what is it sewn to? There are no stich marks on the outside. This is baffling to me.

  • Problem with Bose AV 3-2-1 II?

I have a problem with a Bose AV 3-2-1 II. This problem has persisted for a while i just never got around to trying to resolving it.

The problem is in the optical deck. The CD player works for a while (slightly less than an hour) then all of a sudden it stops. You basically need to do a hard reset, unplug it for an hour or so then it starts working again. I would imagine its the same issue with DVDs but i don't usually use it to watch them.

There is no issue of it playing when its plugged into the TV or when the radio is on.

    Any ideas for a solution?

PS: I know Bose is Blatantly Over-priced Stereo Equipment :)

  • Question about Silence Of The Lambs?

I was talking with my friend about Silence Of The Lambs and we are trying to remember what city Buffalo Bill was living in? Where was the house with the well inside? I can't remember. I thought initially Buffalo NY but that's just the name Buffalo Bill.

    And for fun bonus questions:

BQ: Did you like the other Hanibal Lector movies?

BQ2: Any other good suspence serial killer movies you can suggest?

BQ3: Have you seen the movie Ravenous

  • TNA revisiting WCW gimmicks?

With the upcoming Hogan VS Sting match, it feels like i have seens this before on WCW. There are a bunch of other examples, for instance when Immortal and Fortune joined forces and eventually split reminded me of nWo and Wolfpac.

What would you think of TNA doing a Hulkamania VS Dungeon of Doom feud like WCW did back in 1994?

Any one have any suggestions for stupid WCW gimmicks for TNA to copy?

  • Question about live WWE events?

Next week i am going to Calgary for business and in order to pass the time i figured i might as well see smackdown live. I've been watching wrestling for over 20 years and never once have i been to a live event.

My question... It says that the show starts at 7pm. So i imagine i should be there a head of time. How early should i be there? How are the line ups? Since smackdown is pretaped i am guessing if the show starts at 7 that's basically when the dark match starts.

Is there anything else i should know? I have been to plenty of concerts and sporting events so i know beer and food is damn expensive.

  • European Death Metal band?

I was listening to the new Vomitory album Opus Mortis VIII on my drive to work this morning. Pretty awesome album.

I realize that i don't listen to a lot of Death Metal from out side of US and Canada. So the question is... Favourite European Death Metal bands?

Just death metal. Not melodic death metal, deathcore, black death metal, black metal, etc.

  • Question for metal begginers.?

A question for the novice listeners of “metal.” I have noticed there are continuous debates on whether Slipknot, Avenge Sevendust and the like are metal or not. Why bother insisting that they are? I don’t understand why there is a need to put your bands in this category of music. Metal is basically the pariah of the music industry. Why would you want to associate with metal?

Second question. What the **** is “screamo”? I was under the impression that this is derived from emotional hardcore aka emo, which derived from hardcore, which derived from punk. If this is true, what does it have to do with metal? How is it related? I’ve seen people seem to peg “screamo” with metal. I’ve seen some people mention bands like Arch Enemy to be “screamo.” Where does this misconception come from?

  • Favourite Black Sabbath cover?

After over 40 years of one of the most influencial bands music history there have been a lot of covers. Which do you like the most? It doesn't have to be just one.

My favourite would be Death Angel covering Heaven and Hell from their last headlining tour.

  • Portuguese metal bands?

I am going to Portuguese Day in Toronto. Which is pretty much a ethnic street festival. I am not Portuguese, i am going because Moonspell is playing there.

I was thinking that off the top of my head I can't name another Portuguese metal band. I am pretty sure that Moonspell is the only one with any moderate success.

Can anyone name me some good Portuguese metal bands?

  • Who has the dumbest lyrics in hard rock or metal?

I was listening to Scorpions lately and i realized that they have perhaps the worst lyrics i can think of. In particular the song "Can't explain." Normally there are words that don't rhyme or go together unless you have a heavy German accent like Klaus Meine. Runner up would have to be Kiss.

Who do you think has the worst lyrics in hard rock?

By the way, nothing against Scorpions, I think they are great, they have/had amazing guitarist but the lyrics to their songs are goofy to say the least.
