  • What should you include in a basket for the ladies room at the wedding reception?

Just wondering what things you found were not useful or needed. I can come up with some of the basics, like tampons or pantiliners, packets of pain relievers, tums, lotion, mouthwash etc.

  • Has anyone ever ordered a special occassion dress online?

I hear things like bad quality, dresses don't arrive etc, so hoping to find a US based company that can make something but don't want to worry about the quality. I live in a small town and have to travel a long ways to get to a shop to find a Mother of Bride dress and what I have see so far, not impressed, plus I only have 6 weeks until the wedding.

  • Do you always have to invite a family member to a wedding?

I have a niece fathered by my brother, but I didn't know of her existence til she turned 18, when my brother told the whole family. She and my brother established a fairly good relationship for about 10 years, but I only saw her 1-2 times per year if she came to family gatherings. She was married to a good guy, had 2 girls, then they divorced and the girls live with their father. The girls hate being around my neice now, as she is is not pleasant to be around, thinks the whole world is out to get her and has left the area, engaged to a new guy, who I don't know at all. My brother and her are now very distant and haven't spoken to one another in over 2 months at all, and have had a rough couple of years leading up to their current estrangement. Even her own sister (from her mom's family who she grew up with) univited her as a bridesmaid at her wedding because she has turned into such a beyatch. Now my daughter's wedding is coming up. I would like to invite my great-nieces, but not my niece - would that be wrong to exclude her?

  • My dog is on Clavimox for a urinary tract infection and is throwing up every day?

It has been almost two weeks now since she started on the medicine and she has been throwing up every day (today twice). It is just yellow stuff like when she hasn't eaten, although I feed her twice a day and give her medicine right after her meals. The vet tech didn't seem to think it was the medicine since she didn't start throwing up until about day 5, but has been every day since. I have another appt with the Vet on Monday but just wondering if it is possible the dosage is too strong or ??

  • Anyone have a good note I could put in a card?

I supervise a staff of 20 and need a short poem or note thanking them for a great year and noting that I will be buying them all lunch in early January.

I can't reference the holidays due to religious preferences of some in the department. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Anyone ever had shingles?

I went to my chiropractor for my back problem but mentioned I have this welt on my back and little spots surrounding it, so he took a look at it and thought possibly it is shingles. He did recommend I visit my physician on Monday but it is getting more painful and now smaller spots forming around to the front of my stomach. What can I do/take until I can visit my Dr? It is starting to hurt a lot but not enough for a emergency room visit.

  • Class action lawsuit settlement question?

My dad died 6+ years ago and now has been sent a small check from a class action lawsuit-the drug company overcharged for medications he took years ago. Can the check be cashed even though he has since passed away? It is payable to him although I have (had?) financial power of attorney.

  • Why shouldn't teachers have to pay a more balanced portion of their health care and pension plans?

I live in Wisconsin and this is getting out of hand. I love teachers and respect what they have to do to teach our children, but I make less than lots of them do, work all year round and have a pretty demanding job myself. There are not enough private sector workers to foot the bill for the public workers anymore.
