  • Question for Parents with kids in Elementary School and Preschool...?

I am starting to plan my son's 5th birthday party and was going to invite everyone in his preschool class. My husband says that is too many but I really doubt even half will come. So I was wondering for the folks who had parties and invited the kids classmates how many kids showed up and how many total were in the class?

    Thanks for your answers!

PS: It is not a matter of having enough food or party favors since we will, but my husband was worried it may be overwhelming to have too many kids at the party ecspecially if some of them are just dropped off with no parent present. Also, I know a lot of people don't RSVP anymore so I would like to have an idea. Thanks!

  • Traditional or Montessori Preschool?

I have been visiting preschools for my now 3 year old son to attend in the Fall. I found 2 awesome preschools...one a traditional preschool that uses creative curriculum and the other a Montessori School. I love both schools so I need help choosing. Can anyone tell me some pros and cons of each? Thanks so much!

  • Did you know when you conceived your child?

    Ladies,

Did any of you just know you were pregnant super early on like around the conception dates? If so what were the signs or was it more of just a feeling and was it your 1st, 2nd pregnancy?

  • Question about FL child car restraint law?

    Ok,

Would appreciate any feedback from lawyers, judges, law enforcement....

Is it illegal for a child under 4 to ride in the front seat even if the child is properly restrained (in car seat and buckled in). I know that it is preferred they ride in the back because that is the safest place but I want to know is it illegal in Florida for them to be in the front.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Is this a dumb career choice?

Ok, I am a stay at home mom and prior to staying home with my son I worked in Human Resources as both a Recruiter and a Benefits Manager (at different times) and made good money in both. HOwever, I didn't exactly really like my job. However, I have been thinking of going into a cosmetology program (just the Facials aspect of it). However, I am wondering is this a huge waste of money? I mean is there many jobs out there in this field?

    What do you think?

  • Breaking my child from the bottle...need help!?

Ok, my son just turned one a few weeks ago and I am trying to break him from the bottle. He can drink from a cup and sippie cups and straws just fine. However, whenever we go somewhere and were in the vehicle he will pitch a MAJOR fit if he does not have his bottle in the car. It is like it's a comfort thing. Any suggestions on how to break this? I tried giving him a sippy cup in the car but he just throws it.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Would you pay this much?

Ok, I am having a yard sale Saturday and one of the items I am putting in is a baby swing. I paid $120 for the swing at Wal-Mart and that is still the going price for them. My son hardly even used it so it's like new. I am going to ask $50 at the yard sale for it and mentioned that to my mom the other day and she said that people going to yard sales will not pay that much for stuff....what do you think good price or not?

  • 2008 Election Question?

This question concerns the 08 election. Have you changed your mind on the person you voted for? For example, if you voted for Obama do you regret it now or if you voted McCain are you glad that Obama ended up winning now? Why or why not?

  • Question regarding reheating Christmas Ham....1ST TIME HOSTING DINNER PARTY FOR INLAWS!!!?

Ok, this is my 1st time hosting a Christmas Dinner for my In-laws and of course I am eager to impress. I am making a ham but I have a bunch of side dishes that I am also making. Since the ham takes so long to cook I am making it first and then the other dishes. However, if I need to stick the ham back in the oven to heat up will it dry it out? Any suggestions? I only have one stove/oven and the ham and my other side dishes cook at different temps.

Thanks in advance for your help!
