I have questions for the transgender community, please help me understand.?
I am on a dating site (straight male) and I have had a couple trans individuals who have liked my profile and have messaged me a few times showing interest in me. Both are very attractive people, and seem very nice, and while they look female, they still have there male equipment.
Both of them are only interested in straight men to date. I am an open minded person and I have no problems with anyone in the lgbt community, but I am very curious about this.
How can you expect a straight man to have an intimate/sexual relationship with someone with their male equipment? Are there straight guy that do this? If so, are they actually straight? It seems very odd to me because being a straight man, my attraction is to women (obviously) and I don't know how it would be possible to ignore the fact that a potential lover has a d#/k. I'm trying to be more understanding of the whole situation and any answers would be awesome. Thanks.
5 AnswersPeople with Disabilities5 years agofish experts, why do we bother?
To those of you that actually have an understanding of fish keeping, why do you come to YA to answer fish questions? I often wonder why I am doing this, sometimes it is nice to actually help someone that has a valid question that can be answered without re-writing an entire book explaining the very basics. Some days I just check in for laughs although it is disturbing to realize that so many people ask questions that are so misguided and even unintelligible that it makes me shudder. I work at a fish store and I answer ridiculous questions daily and yet here I am doing it again. So why are you smart fish nerds here instead of on one of the many fish forums? I am just curious as to why we bother when 99% of the questions here are "why did my goldfish die" or what should I name my betta, etc. Is it altruism? I know that after 2 decades keeping fish and 12 yrs working in the hobby, I still want to help people, but I am starting to think that maybe some sort of license should be required before anyone can buy a fish, lol. I would love to hear why you are here answering questions. (Can we trade in our points for cash, lol if so, tell me how.)
9 AnswersFish9 years agoDo you think the Bible contains the whole of God's message to people?
I am curious if you think that it is possible that God said everything that needed said to humankind in the books of the Bible or do you think that he might still be "speaking" to people in this day and age? Men physically wrote the Bible so it is hard to believe that they didn't put it into the context of the knowledge/customs of the people at that time period. My understanding is that some books of the Bible were rewritten, excluded, and probably modified to some extent at some point in history, or am I wrong about that? So the real question is do you think that God would stop speaking to us because I would think that God would want us to understand the message rather than hang on the exact words that ultimately were the work of a flawed human understanding of the message. Why aren't there prophets anymore? Does anyone else think that it possible that as humans have advanced in science and our understanding of the universe that God's message to us right now might differ from the message that was delivered to man all those years ago. I don't mean that the core message has changed but our understanding of exact details might shift. An example is "be fruitful and multiply" which would make sence in ancient times where the world didn't have 6 billion people. Do you think God might be wanting to tell us, whoa, ok you got that part figured out, now chill out on it because you are starting to destroy the rest of my creation. All opinions are welcome even for athiests that might have considered this but I don't need preached at so please just give me your personal opinion rather than quoting a bunch of Bible verses or saying God doesn't exist, (you can just pretend he/she does). This question includes any other religions too, Christianity is just the one I am somewhat familiar with. 10 pts to the most honest answer (that I like :D ).
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoSea level rise from melting ice/snow?
I have heard some people say that melting ice doesn't have an impact on sea level so I was wondering... If snow is ice and snow and ice can be found on land, when they melt does it flow uphill or something? I was told that it doesn't increase sea levels. Is it because the water from melted snow and ice don't adhere to the laws of gravity? Is gravity a hoax too? Some scientists say it is so I am curious what you think.
6 AnswersGlobal Warming10 years agoTo all fish expert out there i have a question?
How do feel about the fact that in the time it has taken me to write this, 9,720 betta fish are dead, 1,023 goldfish have perished, and do you think that it might be a better world (for the fish) if you were required to have a license to purchase live fish? (I am of course joking, but 10 points for a witty answer)
4 AnswersFish1 decade agoWhere should I go to dive in pristine coral reef ecosystems?
I would love advice from divers/snorkelers with semi current dive experience. I am afraid that our coral reefs will continue to decline in the next few years/decade and I want to dive on somewhere with near pristine reefs. Large pelagics are not my concern although they would be nice, but I am more interested in coral diversity/coverage. My research tells me that I should go to Raja Ampant Indonesia, which I have found to be a costly trip from United States of America. Any better suggestions? Thank you in advance.
