AL: “How old are your 3 children?”
Polly: “The product of their ages is 72.”
AL: “That doesn’t tell me enough. I need more information.”
Polly: “The sum of their ages is the same as the address on the outside of this building.”
AL: (after checking the address: “I still don’t know how old they are.”
Polly: “The oldest child likes chocolate chip cookies.”
AL: “Now I know how old they are.”
