critical thinking problem?
Nine workers each make ten gold bars in the King’s treasury. One of the workers makes each bar 1 ounce short. How can the King determine which worker is the culprit using only one weighing?
Can you help me to solve this problem?

I'm guessing this is the one about a scale that will show up to 1 ounce differences in weight, as I've heard it before.
You take one bar from the first guy, two from the second, etc...
The total weight should read 44.? where the "?" is a number from 1 to 9. That number should correspond the the guy opposite the number.
Example:
weight is 44.1, this means guy #9 made his bars one ounce short (as there are 9 ounces missing, since guy 9 had 9 bars used in the total weighing)
weight is 44.4, this means guy #6 made his bars one ounce short.
weight is 44.5, this means guy #5 made his bars one ounce short
